1. How long have you been playing golf? I played in high school 12 years ago and was a 6.5 handicap.  I just started playing again this summer and have started keeping my scores again and i am currently at a 12 handicap.

2. What do you love about golf? I love the environment of it.  I usually play with guys that want to cut up and have a good time.  Its fun to be around them and its even more fun to play golf while doing it.

3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I have used MyGolfSpy for several reviews in the past and never joined.  I recently looked a couple reviews and decided I should join.  As far as I know I do not know any other Spies.

4. Where are you from? What is your home course? I am from Henderson,  NC.  My home course is Kerr Lake Country Club

5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? I would say the best things are we don't get huge amounts of rain so there are definitely more good days to play golf than bad.  Probably the worst is the summers. The humidity is terrible.  

6. What do you do for a living? I am an IT Specialist for the federal government. 

7. How’d you pick your user name? I signed in through Gmail so it used my Gmail username.   I picked that username from my first initial and last name and the date I started dating my future wife.

I get to play darn near year 'round. But it is tough to play in the heat of July/August.

2. What do you love about golf? The comradeship with fellow players  I used to take game WAAAYYYYYY more serious when I was younger  now I enjoy playing with friends and a few brewskis at the 19th hole where we can all talk about the good and mostly bad shots!!

4. Where are you from? What is your home course? Born and bred BUCKEYE from the armpit of America called Ohio.  Home course now is Houndslake Country Club. Spent a few years working at Sage Valley but was rarely able to play it. Been all over the map pursuing my career (at the time) Savannah, Hilton Head, Fort Myers/Naples and finally dropped anchor in Aiken, SC  

5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Not many I can think of honestly except not too man courses in Aiken and the good ones are impossible to get a round it seems  

6. What do you do for a living? Former “PGA class A-8” professional  decided after 20 years of poverty it was time to move on to enjoy life with my family and actually play golf.  If you wanna play golf DO NOT BECOME A GOLF PRO

7. How’d you pick your user name? In college when I played baseball my teammates said I was a “snappy” dresser whenever we would make a road trip. Name starts with a J and 30 was my number in college. Most people think it’s “snapping” one left off the tee but I can’t make a ball go left if my life depended on it

2. What do you love about golf? For me there is no better way to relax and disconnect.  The combination of outdoor beauty and competition is intoxicating.

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? The best parts are the wide range of course quality and price point, which allows all kinds of players to enjoy the game.  The worst part is the relatively boring flat layouts. I love elevation change and that is non-existent in South Florida.

I've been playing golf since age eight (summer, 1990). My normal score is around 80. My handicap is in the mid 4s. I'm usually able to put together a couple low rounds a year and that keeps my handicap artificially low in my opinion. 

I love golf because it is a way for me to escape. Focusing on each shot allows me to forget about things going on off the course. 

I started reading MGS several years ago for the equipment reviews. I have only met one other Spy.  Interestingly enough, I noticed him on the putting green with an Evnroll putter and asked him if he reads MGS. He smiled and said it was what got him to buy the Evnroll. 

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I don't have a home course. I only play 10 to 12 rounds a year, so I play all over: Lonnie Poole, River Ridge, Pinehurst, Tobacco Road. I hit balls in my bonus room almost daily to stay somewhat sharp. 

Year round golf is what's best in our region. The worst thing seems to be the pace of play. I grew up playing in under 4 hours. Most public courses on the weekend seem to be okay with 5 hour rounds.
