What's up guys? I was trying to make an introductory post but for some reason it's not letting me create a topic...I'm located in Sacramento, CA and just dusted the sticks off after a 4 year hiatus. Currently working on improving my swing and looking into getting fitted for new clubs.

1. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I've been playing on and off since I was about 13. Played high school golf then didn't play much after. Hoping to stay with it for good this time. I don't carry a handicap but I'm usually shooting around the mid to low 80's.

2. What do you love about golf? The environment. Love the peace and quiet of playing my local mountain course (Apple Mountain). Golf is my release from everything else going on in life. It takes my mind off everything else going on and is a great stress reliever.

3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I came across MyGolfSpy recently after browsing the internet for new golf equipment. Already chose a ball and putter thanks to MGS. I don't know any MGS's yet. Hoping to link up in the future though for sure!

4. Where are you from? What is your home course? Sacramento, CA. My home courses in high school were Mather and Cameron Park Country Club. Currently don't have a dedicated home course. I've probably played Mather and Apple Mountain the most though.

5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? There are a lot of courses around the area and you don't have to go very far to experience different types of course. The summer heat is probably the worst thing about golf here.

6. What do you do for a living? I'm a construction foreman for a commercial refrigeration outfit.

A little over 3 years now. Handicap fluctuates between 15-16. Normal scores are mid 80's on a good day to low 90's on a not so good day. 

What do you love about golf?

The challenge that it brings. You can go from disaster hole to the next hole bombing your drive and approach shot and making birdie. 

What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies?

I love hearing about the new technology, clubs, controversies, and looking at how others enjoy the game.

Where are you from? What is your home course?

Henderson, NV. Home course is tough to say but I play Chimera Golf Club more often than others being only a few minutes away. I try to play all over though. Try to play somewhere every weekend and sometimes 2-3 a week if possible. 

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region?

There are so many great things when it comes to golf in Las Vegas. The amount of courses in a 10-15 mile distance or even a hour drive away in pahrump, mesquite, and laughlin. Then theres the prices during the summer heat at the twilight rates. $20-$30 rounds all over the valley. Worst thing I would say is that most courses are snugged inside communities making each hole have fairways lined with houses and not much natural landscape. Also, the heat brings great prices but its also 100+ degrees and some courses dont have as much shade being desert landscapes.

What do you do for a living?

I'm an IT System Admin/ Engineer in the casino industry.

It's just been my social media name for a while now from instagram, twitter, etc. Mix of my first name, middle and last name.

How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score?

Started playing seriously when I was in 7th grade and made the middle school golf team. Played throughout high school but wasn't good enough to play it in college. About a year ago my work colleague got me back into the game and I've been hooked again. So I guess 7 years playing spread out over 15 years. Scoring mostly high 70s to low 80s but can definitely get up in the 90s from time to time

What do you love about golf?

You can play it a ton of different ways and they're all valid. A relaxing round with buddies with little attention to score or "proper rules" is a great time. Being super focused and imagining I'm back in competition? Great! Somewhere in between? All good with me.

What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies?

Initially the chance to demo and test products. I haven't won any of the Testers Wanted but that's what drew me in. Since then, reading reviews of products I'm interested in but in a real-world setting and not beholden to the marketing fluff.

Where are you from? What is your home course?

Chicagoland orginally. Currently in Lake Forest, CA (south OC). Home course is probably Rancho San Joaquin, walkable track at good pricing if you're in the player's club.

What are the best and worst things about golf in your region?

Pricing, there are some courses that charge way more than the conditions and design deserve (unless you head inland) Pace of play can be an issue as well. Good thing is the variety, especially further inland there are some outstanding courses that don't break the bank.

What do you do for a living?

Customer service / tech support / warranty / whatever needs to get done for a bicycle component manufacturer.

How’d you pick your user name?

Been my gamertag for a while, use it as a reminder to relax and enjoy. Works for golf too!

What's up everyone! Hope everyone has been killin it out there in this Cali heat!

1. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I have been playing since I was about 4. I took time off thanks to school and other sports and I am returning after about an 8 year break. Currently, my handicap is about a 15/16 but I have been shooting in the low 80s during practice rounds so I hope I can keep that up.

2. What do you love about golf? I love the social and meditative states of golf I find myself in. Granted, I play with friends or family every week and have had my fair share of profanity left on the course. But it's something I keep coming back to. There are few things as therapeutic as having a rough round and all of it being erased by one GREAT strike.

3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I'll be honest, I stumbled upon this through follow suggestions on youtube and IG. Glad I did!

4. Where are you from? What is your home course? I am from Orange County and regularly play a small muni by my house, River View Golf Course. Tough to beat a $20 twilight that gets dropped to $15 for being a neighbor. When I want to spoil myself, I love Monarch and Pelican!

5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best is the weather that allows me to play year round, but the worst part is because of that, most courses are DUMB expensive.

6. What do you do for a living? I work for a rad startup flooring company that specializes in synthetic turf, switching into their estimating and proposals. The tedious work.

Greetings!

Just moved to AZ from WA state and have been able to play alot more consistently since arriving.

1. I have been golfing 20+ years but have only gotten more serious the last five years. My handicap is at an all time low of 13.

2. I love gold as it is a great activity for my wife and I to do together.

3. I was introduced to MyGolfSpy by the Podcast, so I am relatively new and am finding something new every day.

4. I was born and raised in Southern California. Then spent 12 years in the Seattle, WA area. Have been here in Mesa, AZ less than a year now. My wife and I have fallen in love with Mountain Brook Golf Course in Gold Canyon, AZ. We play there at least once a week.

5. The best thing about golf in AZ is the availability, the great weather in the winter and the great rates in the summer. The worst thing about golf in AZ is the heat, so we just tee off at dawn to beat the heat.

1. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I’ve been golfing for 25 years. Started getting back into it about six months ago  I don’t have a formal handicap, I usually shoot in the 80s  I have broken 80 twice now. According to some of my golfing apps I’m around a 10-12 handicap. 

2. What do you love about golf?  I love that the game is always different  from round to round. I love the fun of trying a new course, but also testing myself on familiar courses.

3. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? YouTube brought me to know this company. I liked the content, and the information. I don’t know anyone on here

The best things about golfing in LA are the weather, and the abundance of courses ranging from very affordable public tracks to extremely nice public and private clubs. I’d have to say the worst thing is because of the number of golfers many times the rounds take a long time.

   I’ve played for 3 years. My GHIN is 13, which is usually about how many shots over par I shoot. I recently joined Mesa Country Club so I’m not constantly changing difficulty courses, aiming for single digits in 2020.

2. What do you love about golf?  I love that it’s the only place I can escape all of the responsibilities of life. Enjoy the weather, and my favorite thing about golf is every shot is a learning experience.

1. I've been playing for close to 20 years with a few breaks in there. I'm currently a 6 handicap, so breaking 80 usually feels like a good day on the course.

1. I have been playing golf for about 3 years now after a college football and brief professional playing career. My handicap is around 13. I typically shoot between 83-87. 

2. I like that golf is an individual sport in which there is no one else I am depending on other than myself.

3. I have been doing some research on areas in which I am trying to improve my game and I keep coming back to the information yielded through MyGolfSpy.

5. The best thing about golf in Southern California is the great golf weather year around in addition to the abundance of golf courses in a 25 mile radius to me. The worst thing would have to be the courses in which they overbook the course and find myself playing 5-6 hour rounds.

2. What do you love about golf? I love the challenge  of measuring myself against the game and my own abilities

5. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Desert golf is great for distance and fast greens, box canyons and elevation changes. Sometimes miss playing tree lined courses like east coast or northern layouts

HEY YALL NAMES RORY!

Ive been golfing for close to 6 months now! 
My current handicap is at an 11.6 and I generally average a high 80s low 90s score  

What do you love about golf? Every damn thing! I love the competitiveness it brings within me. I love learning biomechanics pertaining to sports. I really love all the different combinations that go along with club and ball fitting.

I don’t really know any other spies yet but I’ve read alot of articles and I love the unbiased equipment testing.

I am from Eastvale, Ca and my home course is Jurupa Hills Golf Club in Jurupa Valley Ca

The best thing about golf in my region is that it’s playable year round due to perfect weather. The worst thing is traffic.

I am a personal trainer.
