Caddie was in the bag so didn't see the drop. Rickie hit his shot then realized after finishing the hole that he took an incorrect drop so he was assessed a penalty stroke.Bryson was caught on camera slamming his putter into a practice green after the first round. He immediately used his divot tool to fix the indent. Just because it is a practice green and he immediately fixed it doesn't mean that he should be absolved from punishment. He intentionally damaged someone else's property. These guys are paid an outrageous amount of money and whether they like it or not are role models for young people. Call it stuffy or whatever but this game used to be a game of Honor and Integrity. Slamming clubs or throwing clubs in anger or intentionally damaging the course should result in fines and repeated incidents should result in either dq's or suspensions. It isn't just B.A.D. either, it seems to be happening more often and kids will start to think it is acceptable behavior. The fines should go to the tournament charities too. I wish they'd do some overlays of the greens for final groups before they putt so we can where the break is before they go. I feel like I've seen them do that at some tournaments. The Masters maybe? But it should really be a standard so we can see how hard it actually is. Bones commentary is usually pretty good but there's nothing like a visual aid to give you an idea. Basically he was saying Rory could complete a shot so he didn't get relief. Faldo wanted him to call up another official.... They barely even showed us a still of where DJs was so it's hard to know what the difference was. Rory was trying to get relief to swing to the left which would put him towards another fairway, but his shot back to the fairway was to the right. He could make a swing LH without cart path interference, which he did.
