So, in my driver fitting yesterday, I asked about which ball I should be playing: AVX that I was using to end the season, or a ball that spins more like the TP5X. Yep, based on the spin from the drivers he saw, TP5X, or something similar, should be the ball I use this year. Well. Time to trade-in some AVX!

TXG just did a ball test on the Cut Blue and found it spins a lot, might be worth trying. $20 for a dozen is a great price point for how well they perform.

I plan to use either the Bridgestone B rx or the TP5.  I have been playing the Bridgestone because it is cold and I like the lower compression in the cold.  During the warmer weather I plan to play the TP5 because it spins more and our greens are tight firm and fast.

I'll start the year off with last years gamer... Callaway Chrome Soft Yellow.

Have been using yellow balls for a couple of years now and really like them. 

They're easier to find when I hit that one bad shot....

I'll probably stick with the Wilson/Staff Duo Soft. Great ball for my game. As I get back into the swing of things (pun intended) I'll probably bring out the rest of my Q Star Tours, but the Duo is still my choice. 

Softfli for those rounds where everything is off and I know I'm leaving more than a few in the woods or the water

I'm going to be playing the Taylormade TP5x this season.

I tried one during one of our Sunday afternoon sessions on my friend's HD golf simulators and was blown away by it. I even got my first hole in one ever using a 4 iron from 202 yards! It felt great, it spun when it needed to and was long off the tee. I'm sold!

Well two years ago I did the buy 3 get 1 free titleist promotion with customization.

I really like having my own number and phrase on the ball, it does make it easier to identify in the Woods after all!

I’ll need to place another order this year as the bag is almost out of those, although I have plenty of early season balls I saved from off the beaten path last year.

I play Pro V1x and that won’t change this year. I got to try the prototypes as the end of the year and liked them.

I am looking forward to hopefully finding some of the new Callaway, taylormade, Bridgestone, and srixon balls around the course and will try them at some point but with any luck I won’t be buying more for another two years.

Now if the snow could just melt... ️

Depending on which Snell you'd be going with, there is a closeout on the MBT Red at the moment.

I plan on playing the Taylormade TP5.  I made the switch last year and I haven't looked back.  The ball seems to be more durable than the Prov's and doesn't overly spin.

I am fan of the Srixon Z Star XV.  If for some reason I run out of those and can't find any, I'd hit the TP5x.

You know funny you mention it.. I have a sleeve of them.. They are not terrible, they are one of the worst balls i have ever played. Terrible would be an upgrade.. LOL

I have always been a Srixon Z-Star XV player. I haven't replenished my stock in a couple years so still playing the 5th generation. I am contemplating giving the new generation a go, but the TP5 is really tempting to me right now

I've noticed the last year or two the ProV1 doesn't seem to work as well for me on full shots. It is still without competition around the green though. Now I'm favoring the Q-Star Tour and Bridgestone Tour B XS.

They’re finally here - the Revs stash for 2019. Can’t wait to see if I can see these babies - I often don’t see white and even when I do I rarely see a drive finish.
