They've also release a new ball called the MTB-X, a bit higher compression than the Black with lower driver spin (smaller core). I've got an industry golf scramble in two weeks in Austin and the consultant in charge of providing golf balls to every participant reached out to me for suggestions. I told them Snell makes a fantastic golf ball at a great price and the consultant pulled the trigger on a big order with Snell. I sure hope it's the MTB-X...if so I'll grab a couple sleeves and mail them out to fellow spies for testing. I'm going to try the red I think as it's higher spinning. Wasn't it? My ball flight is generally a little lower than most so perhaps a higher spinning ball would be beneficial on approach. I have a source that runs a independant golf store that buys used balls out of Florida. I get a deal on Snell ,Vice and MG balls. Seems the mainstream folks that buy used balls do not know what they are and they do not sell well. Like I told someone the other night on WRX I am retired from comps and big money matches ( and I am happy) but if I went back to all of that I would not hesitate to put any of the 3 I mentioned into front line play new ones of course. They have addressed that, and hopefully the X will be good. I really like the fact that I can get them both in optic yellow. I have already ordered some of the X to try. Since the Black was made in yellow, I am pretty sure that will be what I end up with, but I’ll give the X a try. I for one didnt mind giving up a few yards off the tee box for the performance it gave me around the greens. Oh well.
