(3) TESTERS WANTED: 2019 Bridgestone Tour B XW-1 Wedges

XW1.jpeg

Fresh off surprising success in the darling forum test of 2018, Bridgestone is back for more with the Tour B XW-1 line of wedges.  Underrated? I think not.  In early February, MyGolfSpy ran an article on the blog giving you a sneak peek at Bridgestone's latest offering.

Multiple Sole.png

The new XW-1 is a premium Japanese 1020 forging (the 2017 model was 1025), and features three loft specific sole grinds (the 2017 models only had one grind) and something called Biting Rail Milled grooves for more spin.

“It’s a new micro-milling pattern,” says Zack Kupperbusch, Golf Club Marketing Manager for Bridgestone. “If you rub your finger across the face, you can feel in-between each groove the parallel mills that go across the face. They’re kind of like protruding teeth to keep the ball on the face a little longer to increase spin.”

These wedges aren't available at retail until March 4, but now is your change to test (and keep) these offerings before everyone else. We're looking for three (3) motivated golfers to test, review, and keep a three-wedge set of the 2019 Bridgestone Tour B XW-1 wedges.  This opportunity is open to all right handed golfers residing in the continental US.  If you think you've got what it takes to give these beauties a proper workout, leave a comment in this thread only with the following information:

1. First name and city/state

2. Handicap

3. Current Wedges

4. Your desired set/lofts

Good luck to all who apply.  The chosen testers will be announced in this thread next week!

1.  Don, Flower Mound, TX (and I'm motivated as I've been considering these wedges!)

2. 4.9 Index

3.  Vokey SM5 50/12/F,  54/10/S and 58/11/K (loft/bounce/grind)

4. 50/54/58 (with mid-size grips, if possible :))
