TP5 Pix?

BAD used to skate?

Not sure if he did or not. But I’m guessing the guy that designed the TP5pix had a few Powell’s in their day.

So, I finally saw one of these in the wild (or a golf shop) today. First impression, the x's are not as large as they appear and they aren't very obtrusive to me. Second, the ball feels sticky, maybe not Srixon sticky, but stickier to me than the '19 V1. Third, there is no bleed over onto the side stamp, the stamping is super consistent across all the balls. Fourth, it felt to me, and I wouldn't know until I look at a 2019 TP5 next to it, the ball almost looks smaller, which is fine because it draws your focus.

Odds are, I'll probably pick up a box once I run out of what I have right now, because I'm not sure they'll sell well and maybe by then the price will go down. I'm really ok with TP5 Pix.

don't know yet Shanks, but that's how I think, make it look like you've got more space with the hole when putting? I'll try and get something next to it

I guess that isn’t as ugly as I thought... still ugly, but not bad.

Thanks Berg. They aren't as bad as the look in the pictures, but I still can't stand them. The went from about a 1 to a 1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Believe it or not the first thing I noticed was that the number was on the wrong side of the Taylormade logo. Then I saw those X’s or whatever they are suppose to be.

I didn't see that at first, but now that I do see it, they are back to 1. That would drive me insane.

And, being someone who lines up the ball to putt, those X's would mess up my concentration. I only like focus on the line I draw, and nothing else.

I'm almost certainly buying a dozen when I run out of what I have. I'm all the way in.

The truvis ball from callaway is a ball meant to give people a visual.  Some say it helps with hand eye coordination to help keep their eye on the ball but many people says it hurts their putting due to the shapes all over the ball. I have been playing the truvis and like it as a cold weather ball but as a fix to the putting aspect I use a bold black sharpie to make a line on the ball. This makes it easier to concentrate  on the line when you are putting on the green.

Easy to find off the fairway, but way too busy for me on the greens.

I bought a sleeve my last time out.  I am not a huge fan of the color orange on the ball, but I like the concept.  I also understand it's a little like the Callaway Truvis.  During my putting stroke, I try and stare at the back of the ball.  Having the X near the back of the line really helps me concentrate on the spot.  This is just my opinion obviously.  To each their own.
