Srixon Drivers?

Is anyone using the new Srixon drivers, and what is your impression?
I had one a while back. It is a great driver that when fitted will absolutely keep up with the big boys. The only reason I sold mine was because I got the urge/need for a Cobra F9 but could play the srixon without missing a beat.

IMO the headshape of the srixon z785 is one of the best out today.

If you miss right, the 585 is a great option. Good ball speed and not a lot of spin.

The Z785 made my top 3 for the season, the Ping just beat it out, but I would probably have been just as pleased with the Srixon.

I used an older z355 driver and loved it. Good distance and very forgiving, just found something a little better after a fitting. Wouldn’t hesitate to put another srixon driver in the bag.

I had the Z785 for the True Golf Fit review.  Initial thought was that it was a great looking driver!  I think I needed a different shaft in that driver as it could boom one out there.  I struggled with consistency, and that's what it ultimately came down to for me.  My Ping G and the G400 LST were much more consistent when I put all of them head-to-head.  I did a more in-depth review of my driver search in another topic within here, you can see ultimately the PXG Gen 2 0811 X out performed everyone for me.

My advice is if you're curious about it, hit it!  The more drivers you try/test in your driver search, the better you feel about having the best driver for you when you ultimately pull the trigger.

I have had Srixon irons in the past and have absolutely loved them. That being said, I have never tried a Srixon driver. Local Roger Dunns might have them, but haven't swung one. That needs to change.

Just a reminder I believe Srixon is offering s money back guarantee on the 785 if you're not happy with the performance.   That's pretty remarkable.

Wow, that is saying something about Srixon's belief in their clubs!  I wish more manufacturers did this, sure you can find the "Playability" guarantees at many golf shops, but this is very cool they do this.

I swung a new srixon at a golf galaxy demo day.  Put it out there about 315 consistently,  but i kept pulling it left.  I don't know if the mat and LM being cockeyed would cause that (my opinion it did)  but if i had more time to swing it on a range id more than likely bag it.

I've been playing the Z785 all year and it has been great. The only thing i'd change on it is to move the weight on the sole to a more neutral or fade position, as i tend to close the face on my misses. I've added some lead tape out towards the toe a bit to help slow it down and that seems to remedy it for the most part. Its a great looking club, doesn't look too large when at address and it flat out performs.
