chipperman
Yesterday i got an application form to join a club , it isn`t a top tier club more 2nd tier and affordable for me . i dropped my applicatiom form in this morning on my way to work at about 9.20am At 11.15 i got a text message saying my application had been refused i tried to speak to someone there to ask why but the woman on the phone told me very bluntly that no explanation has to be given why i have been refused I know they have vacancies for new members ...........probably it because they looked on the security cameras and saw me getting out my small car and it wouldn`t look nice in their car park

tony@CIC
Sorry to hear - and the turn down by text is so tacky. Based on the way they handled it - it's probably a club you don't want to belong to. 7 Quote Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra Radspeed 3W/RIptide Shaft 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter V3 NX9-HD - 4 Wheel EZGO TXT 48v cart - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300

PlaidJacket
Not sure about your particular circumstance but did a current member nominate / recommend you? That's what it takes a some clubs. My current club doesn't require such but others I've belonged to did. Edit: Not picking on you chipperman but did the club actually "refuse" you? Or did they simply decline you as a member? Refusing you and your membership application seems to imply that you had a discussion and for one reason or another you couldn't convince them to let you in. You tired but they kept saying, No. Perhaps the membership is full and they simply are not accepting any new members at this time. Could be other factors. Background checks, income, credit reports, etc. Pretty sure it's not your car. Private clubs are not obligated to accept every new member wannabe. And even if they do; they can also kick you out one day. 5 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

SteddyGolf
The quick decline of your application coupled with chilly response from the person you spoke to I would bet a current member black balled you long before your application was received. Charli
Yeah that’s very odd unless you know someone at that club that isn’t a fan of yours. Did you meet with anyone because to join my last club you had to go in front of the board. Pretty much like a job interview. I will say besides saying I’m going to destroy the course they would accept you no matter what. If I didn’t golf and was an outsider looking in I wouldn’t want to golf. Gives golf a bad name right there.

chipperman
I decided to call in this morning and speak to someone at the club so at just gone 9pm i parked up in my wifes car (better than mine) and went to the reception desk i explained to a a young girl on the desk who told me to go and wait in the lounge and provided me with complimentary coffee She picked up her phone i could see her from the lounge she looked flustered as though the conversation she was having was not to her liking . Eventually after 10mins a man about 30ish came and told me that due to changes on the club committee all application were on hold no apology for the text message, so i asked will my application be kept on record or should i re apply i just got a blunt `i dont know` something wrong at that club and i aint gonna bother .......... no wonder golfs in decline Edited March 30, 2019 by chipperman 2

Most private clubs would never have you just drop off an app to begin with, as soon as you asked for one you would be met by a membership director and given the royal treatment, set up a tour of the course and facilities, lunch w a member and GM etc. If they're just handing out applications then saying never mind you probably don't want to mess with such an outfit. If they can't get the basics right what else is wrong behind the scenes?Sent from my Pixel 3 using MyGolfSpy mobile app 6 Quote Rogue SZ 10.5 *NEW* Fujikura Pro Green 65 X Rogue 15 degree Evnflow Blue 6.5 Back in the Bag Z765 4-G Nippon Modus 120 Stiff 54 and 60 Amazing Grace Ass Kicker
