Frozen Shoulder

chipperman

Recommended Posts

I’ve had “procedures” on both shoulders. Left no surgery but shots and lots of therapy. Right arthroscopic surgery for completely torn rotator cuff, bone spur removed and labrum.
Without a doubt I’m thankful for having a good Orthopedic Surgeon who has been great and a good PT team.
Get help and they’ll straighten you out.

My Pro has a permanent frozen shoulder so picks it up really steeply but then drops it into place and hits the ball like only pro's can, great to watch. People adapt to their physical limitations, but at least yours will (hopefully) be sorted.

Welcome to my world. Normally I'd be happy for the company, but I'd much prefer no one would be in the same position as me. Mine has been going 3 months, with little to no improvement, despite an injection and subsequent hydrodilatation.

I've seen a lot of people over the years with frozen shoulder, but until I got it had no idea just how painful and how poorly understood it is.

I see my surgeon tomorrow, hopefully we'll get it sorted out soon. I've missed 3 months of peak golf time, and am struggling to do my job. Seriously over it, especially the pain, but there are a lot of things that are a lot worse.

Hope yours improves quickly.

One of the things my job gives me (I work in a reasonably large hospital) is a sense of perspective. Seeing people much worse off than myself every day helps keep me realistic about what's going on with me. Certainly makes playing bad golf seem inconsequential. If I get frustrated on course I mentally take what I call a "perspective pill" and get on with things. I've been taking a few of those pills lately, and they are probably more helpful than any prescription ones I could take.

I hope you've got onto the frozen shoulder nice and early, it's less likely to need major intervention if you have.

I know about the Obituaries. I get our hometown newspaper in Digital every morning (follow Gkids Sports, Academics) and first up is the Obits.

Thumbs up!

I'm still fighting the bone-on-bone knee and waiting on the doctor's office to call with a surgery date.  Meanwhile, I'm limping around the golf course in pain, but playing 🙂

Best to you on a full recovery!

Good luck guys , get healthy!

Edit: have 10 bags of Black Kow delivered today going to take my time spreading it in my new sod.

Yep a it’s always scary and rarely serious. My neck has been bothering me for weeks. We actually have a member who is a trainer for the Yankees (short season single A). So he is here until they start in June. He looked at it and told me it’s a stinger - no worries.

Get it looked at, rest it and you should be fine - good luck
