Weeeeeeell we're waiting! Did you end up with the 410 Driver and if so - what shaft did you get?

Yup got one ordered, Ping G410 Plus
It was kinda tedious but fun, he set me up with the SFT first and we tried every shaft (R,Sr,aftermarket) and setting but nothing would be any better than current G driver.
Switched to the G410 Plus 12’ and everything seemed to settle in. Again went with every shaft combo and the winner was the stock Alta Sr shaft. I was one tired ole fart but the Plus was 6-8 yards past my G driver, Ball speed 100, launch 14’-16’.
Now the 1 week wait.

Mine is a 12 turned down to 11.5 with an Alta Distansa weak R in it. One of our pros hit it today on the range and loved it - he’s got anX flex shaft in his driver - it took him exactly one practice swing to make the adjustment.

Alta Distansa R was next best shaft.
Funny thing is I couldn’t really “feel” a difference between the G and G410 Plus. The 6-8 yards is enough difference.

Cool - glad the 410 worked for you. Now let's see - $500.+ divided by 8 yards = ......... Never mind you can't rationalized toys. 😂

4 yards is the point where I start thinking about it - at 8 it’s a no brainer.

I was looking for my radar device today and came across the test data for my G400 tuning - I’m 24 yards longer than I was then - SuperSpeed and new equipment including the G410 plus.

What percent do you think was the new club vs the SuperSpeed.  Please say SuperSpeed as it’s cheaper than upgrading my G400

It’s all the club. :)

Totally kidding - it’s nearly all SuperSpeed - obviously a change in swing speed meant a need for some equipment adjustments - I really picked up very little yardage from the 400 LST to the 410 - what I gained was accuracy and consistency - the 410 is as close to point and shoot as a driver can be.

Made the choice go with the G410+ over a G400 for many reasons, even though I could have saved a lot of money either buying new or looking on the used market at a G400 (shhh, don't tell my wife.)

My particular reasons were: availability of a 12º club, ability to adapt the club to any changes in my game as I continue on my old man geezer duffer life, love of the Alta 55 CB shaft which is not available even as an up grade for the G400, and, after 2 fittings by two different fitters, this was the club that seemed best.

Finally, I fell in love with the G410+ the first time I took a swing and added about 35 yards to my usual swing. It came down, really, to what I was comfortable with helping my game.  I average, now, a gain of 1-2 shots from off the tee results!

As to the price, I took 8 months to save up for the club with my wife's knowledge and blessing. So no real problem in the household!  😁

Well? Inquiring minds want to know - how did you play with the big boy in your bag? Were the bacon boys amazed at the long distances you were hitting that driver?

Bummer day, rained all morning and had afternoon planned SWMBO duty.
We have a contractor coming tomorrow to do some work that I know I can do but SWMBO says that I can’t do it anymore, according to her I’m not 70 anymore .
Anyway maybe Sunday, Monday for sure. Retirement isn’t what it’s cracked up to be!
Did have a “Bacon Boys” no golf breakfast. Solved the world problems. If only there’s listen to us

Ok - that much more time for the sisters to get acclimated to big brother in the bag!.

Oh and I don't feel bad for you on account of your golf rain delays. Now that the snow has melted, I'm raking leaves (probably for the next 2 weeks) in mid 30's weather. 😡

Sure, this’ll getcha. We were supposed to play today but most of the guys canceled, too cold 52-55 degrees with mild winds.
Guys are getting old real fast.
