Testing putter MOI?

So I was messing around with my putter collection and either stumbled on something meaningless or fascinating. Looking for input as to which it is.

I took three face balanced putters: a TaylorMade Spider Platinum, an Evnroll ER6, and an Evnroll Tour Stroke Trainer.

Here's the test: hold the shaft in your fingers at the balance point. Then just using your fingers, try to twist the toe of the putter up.

Guerin Rife claims that the massive offset in the Tour Stroke gives it an effective MOI of 10,000, which is an outrageous number for a blade. But what I found is that it was really hard to twist up in the way I described above. The Spider was much easier, with the ER6 in between.

So here's my question: is this is a (admittedly very rough) way to estimate the MOI of a putter?

Yes. As you tap the putter toward the toe or heel a higher moi putter will resist opening or closing.
