Teddy Brabham
Trying to find some high stakes games or big scramble tournaments any info is greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment
cnosil
My suggestion would be professional tours or Vegas. Gambling is illegal in most states and if a tournament is paying money you are now in the category of professional. They have Monday qualifiers, pay to play and see how you do. Rumor has it that the players have some side bets during practice rounds. 10shot
Just fly down to Irvine, Tx area. Any private course pro can hook you up. 4-8k per hole is norm for the big boys. All I can say is good luck, say Hi to Lee for me. cnosil and JCbogey 2 Quote Link to comment
PlaidJacket
LOL.. I love this... And kind of like 10shot says... Forget the "big scramble" game. That's bush league. If you want some high stakes games just go out to most any course and ask the pro. He knows where the action can be had. I can easily arrange to get you in a $500 - $1,000 automatic 1-down if you're interested. Want more still? Just ask. One game locally requires a $10,000 cash deposit unless you're established. Personally, I'm a low stakes player so I'm not your guy. cnosil and CarlH 2 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour Link to comment

I've got to say, some of these guys that play in the "money game" don't even have a handicap. For what purpose? Handicaps are irrelevant. SteddyGolf
Any time I reach into my pocket I consider that game high stakes. I don’t enjoy the gambling side of Golf but strangely enough I like playing along side of those who do. russtopherb
I like to play for high steaks too. The more rare, the better. Walking 18 always has me ravenous as soon as we're done.
