Spieth will be alright. Golf is just having it's way with him right now. He's much too talented to stay down.

I agree.  Listened to him on the No Laying Up podcast last week.  He seems to be trying to get back to playing with feel rather than chase distance.  He will be fine once he gets his feel back consistently.

So I was thinking this could have been the first week that the PGA tour winner was a shorter hitter than the LPGA winner.

It’s close but not quite

Pan is at 285 and Brooke at 280 avg. driving distance.

That's interesting. In general, do you know if the ladie's courses are as dry and fast as the men's? If not, she might even be longer than him.

Their set ups tend to be a bit more benign - more like really good conditions that we see.

She hit one 340 this weekend. And for the guys who are constantly advocating a shorter shaft her driver is 48”. She does grip down significantly though.

I saw that 340 shot.  It looked like 280 with 60 yards of bounce and rollout.

The RBC Heritage is not a course where drivers are hit a lot.  Tight fairways, doglegs, and hazards just past a good 3-wood (#18).  Most LPGA courses are fairly wide open and firm.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
