GolfSpy MPR
This isn't a discussion of whether he will or not: I'm asking, if he were to win 17, are you rooting for him to get 18 and 19? My answer: in part, I'd love for Tiger to finish with 18, tied with Jack. What better way to provoke conversation for years to come? But in full honesty, I'd be pulling for him to get his nineteenth. There's certainly a selfish aspect to this: I want to be able to watch history being made. palvord and Shankster 2 Quote TS3 9.5°, Tensei Blue CBX T3 15°, Project X HZRDUS Black Epic Super Hybrid 18°, Aerotech Steel Fiber FC HYB S C722 21°, Ventus Blue 8S CBX Iron-Wood 25°, Project X HZRDUS Black 6.0 639 CB, Aldila NV 95 Graphite, 6–PW CBX 48° T22 54° and 60° EAS 4.0, Garsen G-Pro grip TP5x and Tour Response Full WITB with pictures

Jmikecpa
Yes I would. As a 10 year old watching Jack win the Masters in 86 with my Grandfather was the moment that really got me into golf and turned me into a golf nut. Watching Tiger win yesterday with my three children gave me that moment a second time. My kids knew of Tiger but none of them actually got to see him in his prime and yesterday was a glimpse into one of the greatest athletes that I will ever see in any sport. Not to mention Tiger now has three new fans in my house. mr.hicksta
I absolutely do and if he does I think it will solidify him as the GOAT. If he does.....my goodness I can only imagine the hysteria that will take place. Obviously there's excitement with him winning the Masters, but with the US Open and PGA Championship being played at Pebble and BPB respectively, one can't help get excited about the prospects of him getting 16 this year as well. Bosox04
I would love to see Tiger beat Jack. Jack will still be held in high esteem. I would be similar to Hank Aaron beating Ruth. Brjpool
I think we could have the debate forever. I also hate these debates that cross generations because you never got to see one against the other in their prime. Conditions change, the game changes. It's like mj vs Kobe vs LeBron. Brady vs Montana. Tiger vs jack. Were they all the best of a generation, absolutely yes. That said I want tiger to pass Jack. I think the chase is good for the game and to see golfers improve and grow the game is fun. Seeing tiger win another Masters this past weekend was so fun for be as a fan. Love him or hate him, tiger playing well is good for golf. It elevates the game and gives younger golfers a legend to chase, just like tiger chased jack. silver & black, tony@CIC and MattF 3 Quote Bryan Pool Ping G20 Driver Bombtech hybrids Ping G20 green dot irons/wedges Cleveland Huntington beach 6 putter

revkev
No because Jack is my all time favorite but if he does, he does, records are made to be broken and if anyone deserves to break Jack's record its Tiger. He deserves it because he's incredibly gifted and he's worked his tail off first to cultivate those gifts and then to come back from all sorts of stuff. So no I don't hope he breaks Jack's record but I'd be happy for him and the sport if he does - imagine the ratings for those tournaments as number 19 grew closer and closer. GregB135
Whether TIger ties or passes Jack the fact that he reached 15 at his current age is as impressive as Jack's 18. In the 'Nicklaus' era, there were 3 or 4 guys who won everything and the rest were just grinding it out to earn a paycheck. Especially over the last 5 years the lists of 'who could win major x' are 15 players deep. Tiger has had to contend against much deeper fields of quality golfers than Jack and Arnie did in their time. To get to 18 or 19, especially with the long gap in between I think would be more significant. silver & black, revkev and tony@CIC 3 Quote Driver: 311XF Gen5, Tensei CK Pro Orange, S flex Fariway: 311XF Gen6 3-Wood, Tensei Blue 55g R flex Hybrid: 211, 3H Project X Evenflow H, 80g, 5.5 TSR2 4H, Tensei Blue R (Forum Tester) Irons: T200 2023, Tensei Blue R (Forum Tester), 5-GW Wedges: CBX2 Zipcore 52*, 56* Project X Catalyst Spinner Graphite Shaft Putter: ER2 Murdered Out
