Congratulations guys on the wins! I would also like to thank MyGolfSpy and Wilson Golf for putting on these contests, it's just fun to get to compete. Also, thanks for the spreadsheet info, I think it's cool to be able to see how each one of us did. I know it had to take a lot of work putting in all that information.

I suppose I did alrite despite no HV3(I didnt think to check if he quald or not!) and K Na getting cut.  People did pick Gary Woodland, so I definitely am not in it, but $1,640,053 should propel me up the leaderboard

US Open Winners Announcement

Guess what???  Our Wilson Boy, and hometown here, Gary Woodland was your key to victory in the 2019 US Open #SpyStaffSlam.  Count this one for the home team!

Out of 806 entries, only 31 picked Gary woodland to win and they make up the top 31 on our standings.  I see an "Anonymous Lemur" logged into my tracking sheet so at least one person gets the scoop on the rest of you. This major brought about much higher $$ totals than normal since the leader board was so diverse at the top and Brooks took 2nd alone.  A perfect lineup would've been Koepka, Woodland, Oostheizen, BH An, and Reavie totalling $4,721,714 which is CRAZY since $3M is usually enough to win. ALSOOOO.  We're getting better at following directions. 81% of the entries filled out a Tier 5 player.  Go MGS!

Sorry, he didn't qualify. Unfortunately we have to set the tiers well before the field is finalized based off odds to win. Happens every major where tier players aren't actually in the field and it's really just rub off the green because it's not fair to reset the tiers or let people re pick. 

Crazy one this time though because I think Viktor was the most-picked player in Tier 3.

Thanks to everyone who participated throughout this fantastic Major season with #SpyStaffSlam.  For the second year in a row, this challenge proved to be a resounding success and the source of a lot of fun for all involved.  Of course, none of this would be possible without their sponsorship so a BIG THANK YOU goes out to Wilson Staff.  

All 15 of the people who picked Shane Lowry to win The Open Championship made their way to the top of the list as no one else had a solid enough full-entry to overcome the winner's check.  For you statisticians, that's 15 out of 806 entries.  1.9% total.  And he boat raced the field!  AMAZING.

Oh yes!  Almost forgot the irrelevant award.  I wasn't going to post this one but it's literally ONE person in the entire pool who pulled off this amazing feat.  Luckily, this person is a good dude and I hope he doesn't mind that I'm calling him out:

He managed to pick a perfectly, wrong team   His team of Woods, Dechambeau, Cabrera Bello, Sullivan, and Rock was the ONLY team in the entire pool that entirely missed the cut.  Sure there were worse teams that accumulated less $$ but his was the only one that had 5 complete picks of players actually in the field who all missed the cut.  Great Going!!

 

I think this would be a fun challenge for the future.  Like those elimination brackets people do for football
