Graphite shafts, sealing ends.

I am testing new grips.  I am cutting many of my shafts along the way. 

 

For my graphite shafts, I am cutting over a taped shaft, then lightly sanding.  To help prevent fraying (I hope), I put some super glue or CA glue around the edge, inside and out.

 

My favorite super glue is called 2P-10.

I mainly use it to attach edges to snowboard bases.  It has a spray activator that makes it harden instantly.  

 

Does anyone else do anything like this?

Sanding or prepping after a cut, particularly when cutting by hand or machine is a great idea. I do a quick end prep on the sander to remove rough edges. The glue thing is new to me and may be overkill but hey!,  it certainly works and if you want to do that then by all means enjoy the process.
