Cancun, Mexico Trip - Courses?

I am going to Cancun in a few weeks and staying at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort. They have a 27 hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and Golf Riviera Cancun. Are there any other recommendations of courses to play in the area?

A few years ago, I was there and played Riviera Maya Golf Club just south of Akumal. I absolutely loved it!

When playing in Mexico, remember it is important to follow Mexican traditions when playing golf.  We made sure to follow the traditions.

That's where we went on our honeymoon and it was awesome! My wife plays too and we played the Jack Nicklaus course and one a few mile away which I can't remember the name.  I do remember part of the course rolled through the jungle and all sorts of critters came out.  Big frying size lizards and yard birds.  One of the funny little critters climbed in our cart and stole some crackers. Have fun and hit em well!
