They arrive on Tuesday!

I probably won't hit them for a while though while I build my baseline. If they were conventional I might but I don't want to get used to the one lengths and negatively skew my baseline switching back to my old gamers. I don't want anyone to have an excuse when I win this thing.

It's gonna take so much willpower to ignore the new shiny things and keep going with my current clubs. 😬

You are a stronger man than I! I'd have to at least sneak them out to the range once or twice.

Took about 50 pictures of the new clubs this morning before I get them all dirty.  I still have one more baseline round to get in (hopefully later this week) before fully breaking these bad boys out.  It's going to be extremely difficult to have them sit in my house and not use them.

I'll post more pictures over the next few days along with my thoughts on how they compare to my current clubs.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present a few pictures from the winning bag!

Wow! Nice pictures! I don't know how you aren't out on the range today for "testing". 😀

For all involved in the Cobra challenge and really anyone else using arccos care to share your names so we can follow along via the arccos app?

It's pretty cool cause you can follow rounds and stats for everyone. I have a few fellow spies that are already following.

If anyone is interested mine is Jamie Danbrook

102 today. I cannot wait for the one lengths. I am so friggin inconsistent with my irons. If I didn't hit any chunks or thins in a round I swear I'd shoot in the 80s no problem. Aghhhhh. Sidenote driver was bananas today. Some monster wind I was fighting but I had one I schlammered 297 according to arccos. Also 12/14 fairways. Boom!

Boy, those single lengths sound perfect for you! 297 into the wind is huuuuuge!

I started following you. Mine is Blake Robertson. Now you can see the rollercoaster I call rounds.

It's why I'm super stoked to try the stroke lab putter to see if it can help improve some more.

Putting has always been the strongest part of my game and very much a savior.

Side note I'm curious to what everyone's thoughts on the handicap that arccos gives. I love the breakdown, but the overall is way off for me. I'm just about staying in singles around 9, but arccos has me at a 1.4 which would be lovely if true however is not.

Arccos has mine at 28.8 overall and my true index is 12.3. Not sure what to think about that.

I'm curious, what are the scores you've shot with Arccos? And, are the courses hard or easy?

I've played a wide range from short par 3/4 courses to championship courses. Scores have ranged from 75-91 (excluding the par 3/4 course) with a lot of low 80s and high 70s in there.

Is the par that Arccos has for the par 3/4 course right? Also, how does Arccos calculate the handicap? Is it top 25% of rounds like the USGA, or do they use all of your rounds?

Yup it is. Plus you can exclude rounds from you stats if you like.

Not exactly sure how it calculates handicap overall. I do know it puts a heavy enphasis on strokes gained.

6 rounds from 79-89 with an average of 84. My course is 6504 yards with a rating of 70.4 and slope of 124, according the the scorecard. Not sure what all that means, but hope that answers your question.

Ok if anyone is interested in mine my name is John Hampton. My actual handicap is 11.9 and my current Arccos handicap is 7.7 😁😎

Managed to play another few holes after work tonight. Here is a solid par but the drive was huge for me 😁

The King F9 Speedback is a thing of beauty.  I ended up going with the white bottom as I preferred the gray/white head instead of the black and yellow.  I think everyone else went with Yellow so I'm the odd duck in this one.

I also chose the Satin Black/Avalanche over that black and yellow thing.

As a Cleveland Browns fan, there was no way I was going to let anything that resembles Shitsburgh Squeelers colors in my bag.

It does indeed. It makes me think that there is something flawed in their algorithm as opposed to a few outlier rounds being played on a super easy course.

Time for some pictures!  I don't want to bombard everyone with a ton of pics right away so I'll post a few of them each week.  Up today: driver and 3 wood.

I love the look of this club.  As a comparison here's what the new Cobra F9 looks like compared to my Callaway GBB Epic (original not Flash).  Heads are very similar from the top view.  I love the matte grey area on the F9 as subtle alignment aid.

The 3 wood is very similar in looks to the driver so I won't post too many pictures of it.  Size of the head is in the same ballpark as my PXG 0341 3 wood.

Any the winning shaft going into both of these?  The Fujikura ATMOS Tour Spec Black 7 in X flex.

It's definitely love at first sight.  Now I just have to figure out how to hit these things.

I've always liked the yellow/black, but that White/black is pretty slick looking. It looks a LOT better in person, and better in pictures than it does on their website
