Boston going for the Tiger Slam?

I’m sure this won’t be a popular thread but watching the Bruins get the OT win tonight has me wondering....can Boston hold all four major sports titles at the same time?

Red Sox World Series....check

Patriots Super Bowl....check

Bruins.....?

Celtics....?

Personally I think the Bruins have a chance but the Celtics have no chance. What do you guys think?

From Wikipedia...

When the Bruins won the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, the city of Boston became the first city in the 21st century to have all four of its major professional league teams win a league championship, and became the only city to ever have championships in all four major professional leagues within a ten-year span, accomplishing this feat in a span of six years, four months, and nine days (from the Patriots' championship win on February 6, 2005 to the Bruins' championship win on June 15, 2011).[16] This sporting achievement was what Dan Shaughnessy of Sports Illustrated dubbed as Boston completing the "Grand Slam of North American sports."[17]

I agree that the Bruins have a better chance of pulling it off than the Celtics, but I'd love to see them both make it happen.

I always try to remember that I'm not good enough to get mad!

It would take several injuries to other teams and a miracle of otherworldly proportions for the Celtics to win the championship this year.

They have a good defense but there is no way that they are getting past Milwaukee....unless Giannis goes down...but then they have all the teams in the west to contend with.

HOWEVER...

just the fact that it is possible for all 4 teams to pull it off is pretty pretty impressive.

Amazing what big market money can do. NBA, MLB have horrible team salary cap. NFL is getting better. NHL is good with the salary cap. Because of this the Celtics, and Red Sox can pretty much purchase anyone they want, so they should be at or near the top of heir leagues. The Pats have 1-2 years before they completely disappear (fist pump), and the Bruins do have a chance. What I like about hockey is how many other sports do you have all division winners get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round, to me it means that the salary caps for teams is working, parity is so good, you have a lot of teams with a chance. Anyway, although I do not like the Boston sports teams, it would be a really nice record to hold by having all major sports championships at the same time. I hope it never happens, but that would be something that has never happened and probably wouldnt again
