Hogan Equalizer Wedge

I had the 50/54/58 set up as well. I have the black finish and I love the 50 and 54 for stock shots, half, and 3 quarter swings. They both have great feel and work well through the turf. I had to get rid of the 58. Anytime I tried to open the face the club didn’t feel right to me. It worked well as long as I kept the face square. I am very satisfied with the other 2 wedges.

Reading the recent comments I'm now feeling a bit guilty about considering replacing my Equalizers with some Mizuno S18 wedges on sale.. (..still may splurge, tho .. I am a part of the Club Ho's thread ).

I get it, but also the S18s are just butter and of course, are just gorgeous. My *only* complaint is the grooves seem to dull a little quicker than I was expecting. But the 52* is my go-to, all-purpose greenside weapon and I'm giving serious consideration to buying the exact same wedges to replace them.

I don’t know what Hogan did different with the black wedges and irons. What is pretty cool about them is it seems like the face is a little more durable.
