jayjay0808
So just this year I went away from my trusty Dynamic Gold X100 to move towards the Modus Tour 120. Even though the season is early I have noticed a big difference in feel between the two and am really enjoying the Modus. Now in my 52 and 58 I am currently playing S400. My question is, I am looking at some fresh wedges. Has anyone tried out the Modus Wedge Shaft? Or would you suggest I stick with the S400? mr.hicksta 1 Quote In my bag: Driver: Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS 10.5* (set to 9.5) UST Lin-Q Gunmetal 6f5 Wood: Tsi2 15* Project X RDX Black 70 6.5 Hybrids: King Utility 19.5* Diamana Tensei White Pro 90TX Irons: Cobra King Tour MIM 4-PW Dynamic Gold 120 X100 Wedges: Milled Grind 3 50*, 54*, 58* Tour Issue S400 Putter: Nashville Z1C 34" Ball: Pro V1x
mr.hicksta
I have the Modus3 Wedge 125 shafts in my RTX4s and absolutely love them. If you like the Modus3 120s it’s a fairly safe bet that you’ll like the Modus Wedge shafts, too! jayjay0808 1 Quote LTDx Black 10.5º | UST LIN-Q M40X TSPX Blue 6F4 LTDx 3W 15º | UST LIN-Q M40X TSPX Blue 7F4 G425 3H 19º | UST Recoil Proto Hybrid 85F4 Z785 4-PW | UST Recoil 125 Proto F4 RTX ZipCore Tour Rack 50º Mid, 54º Mid, 60º Mid | UST Recoil Wedge Proto F4 ER5BV | BGT Stability Tour Tour B X
yungkory
I'm waiting to see if more OEMs offer the Modus wedge flexes in their next product cycles. I just don't get along with True Temper iron shafts, they all feel like rebar to my puny arms So far, I've only found them offered in the RTX4 like @mr.hicksta mentioned, and TM milled grind wedges. I don't think it will make a huge difference in my sand/lob wedge because I almost never take full swings with them, but I think it could really make a difference in my 52, which for me is my 100y club at full speed. I also almost never use it to chip with. I'm also experimenting with the idea of a set gap wedge in my next irons since I don't really use it around the greens much. mr.hicksta and jayjay0808 2 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max LS Tensei AV Blue S 3w/5w: TSi2 Tensei AV Raw Blue S 4h: CLK 22* Hybrid Tensei CK Pro Blue 80HY S Irons 5-PW: 223 Steelfiber PR 95 S Wedges: RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 50, 54, 58 Steelfiber PR 105 Putter: LAB Link.1 Ball: Z-Star Diamond

That's what I am thinking of getting as I have heard nothing but good things about the MIM. I do think I will enjoy the Modus 125 Wedge shafts but its always a hard change to make when you have been used to something for so long. mr.hicksta 1 Quote In my bag: Driver: Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS 10.5* (set to 9.5) UST Lin-Q Gunmetal 6f5 Wood: Tsi2 15* Project X RDX Black 70 6.5 Hybrids: King Utility 19.5* Diamana Tensei White Pro 90TX Irons: Cobra King Tour MIM 4-PW Dynamic Gold 120 X100 Wedges: Milled Grind 3 50*, 54*, 58* Tour Issue S400 Putter: Nashville Z1C 34" Ball: Pro V1x

I think you'll find the Modus3 Wedge 125 to be similar to the S400 in terms of weight. I know feel is an objective thing, but having gamed Modus3 shafts for a few years now, they feel extremely stable and for lack of a better word, smooth. I totally understand being somewhat resistant to change, but I think you'll make the switch once you try them out! Shankster
I have the DG spinners in the BStone wedges. They feel amazing. Have the S400 in the new Hi-Toe... hollow feel and sound... same issue with the s200’s in the cobra wedges I had. Next shafts will be fitted, but I’d Ike to give the KBS 610’s a try.If it puts me in the S300/400 I will pick the next in line. Like the KBS tours in my irons, don’t care for the KBS Tour V wedge.I didn’t get along with the Modus 105’s in the i200’s so I recon I’d have the same issue with the 120’s.Let us know what you end up with. edingc and jayjay0808

Bama23
As far as wedges I bought the heads I wanted and had them install shafts same as my irons. Works great and same feel all the way through the irons.
