ole gray
The first time I tried one of these putters it was the longer counter balanced model. It rolled the ball nice and pure but I was having distance control issues. Well the other day I was killing time in Dick's and decided to roll one of the regular length No. 3 putters. Actually the 34 inch model to be exact and I was really pleased with the feel and consistency. I had some money coming my way plus there was a 20% off deal going on so I picked one up for $80 & change. I took it to the course for a round of golf today and I was grinning like a farm boy in a cow tit pulling contest! Hey folks this putter ain't no joke and I can see why it rated as the top dog in results for the MyGolfSpy Mallet Category. I still have my Betty in the truck and a nice two-baller however this TA #3 is cooking with Crisco and it's staying in the bag. I feel like I have total control on the face. I'm a face balanced kind of guy and this putter's is slicker than Aunt Annie May's hot buttered pancakes! Wow is about all I got to say right now....... The more I roll this putter, the more I am falling in love with it! It sits perfectly behind the ball and inspires confidence. I have much to say however since testers were chosen, I may wait until they start their reviews. All I have to say at this point is it's a wake up call for me when it comes to brand name putters and putters that simply work very well. fozcycle, cnosil, JohnSmalls and 2 others 5 Quote Ping G430 Max Driver 10.5 Degree Titleist TSR1 4, 5, & 6 Hybrids Titleist T350 Irons 7 - W48 Cleveland CBX ZipCore 52 56 & 60 Degree Wedges LAB Mezz Max Broomstick Putter / TPT Shaft (Platinum @ 45/78)

TheSandwedgeChef
@ole gray, great to hear you like your Tommy Armour Impact Series No. 3 Alignment Putter so far! I just got mine in the mail yesterday and am really excited to start putting it through some tests against my current putter (ordered the 38'' due to my height being 6'7'') . My current putter in the bag is a Odyssey O-Works Red Tank #7 Putter (38'' length) and have been using it for almost the whole year I have been playing (I originally started with a discounted Wilson Harmonized Golf Putter after getting fitted for everything but a putter and quickly found it to be a bad choice for me after just a few rounds / practice). Once I changed to the Red Tank #7 I saw my putts drastically improve from all distances and lines. So the Red Tank #7 will definitely stay in the bag for now but once I've gotten more testing out of the way with the Tommy Armour Impact Series No. 3 Alignment Putter, I'll definitely be taking it out for a few rounds to see how it performs in play! ole gray

TheSandwedgeChef
After taking the TA #3 Putter out this past weekend, it has definitely earned its spot in my bag for this summer and foreseeable future after having one of my best putting rounds to date. I originally thought that I wouldn't like the smaller club face compared to my Odyssey O-Works Red Tank #7 Putter, but like @ole graysaid, "It sits perfectly behind the ball and inspires confidence." I think for me the bigger club face on the O-Works actually created less confidence due to all of the other surface area I could be hitting it the ball on that's not the sweet spot. The major benefit that really stood out to me with the TA #3 was my ability to hit lag putts within 5ft and then to knockdown those second putts with confidence. I also was able to knockdown some 1 putts from 15ft - 25ft which was harder for me with the O-Works putter. I felt with the TA #3 that I was able to better control the speed / distance of my putts as well as keep my ball on it's intended line. I'm really kicking myself for not trying this mallet out last year when I bought my previous putter but am definitely happy I went out and picked it up now!!! ole gray and fozcycle

ED13
I have bagged the TA the last couple of weeks. Was using an ER6 I was fit for. Truer roll with the TA, misses are now due to reading greens.
