Tell me your Top 10 courses played!

Recommended Posts

I was going through some of my Google Keep notes and came across my 'Top 10' courses played list so I wanted to share it and discuss!

  1. Pebble Beach
  2. Kapalua Plantation Course
  3. Desert Forest Golf Club
  4. Yocha Dehe Golf Club
  5. Spyglass Hill Golf Course
  6. Sand Hollow Championship Course
  7. Waialae Country Club
  8. Bayonet & Black Horse
  9. The Ocean Course at Hokuala
  10. Wolf Creek Golf Club

I've been fortunate enough to have been stationed in areas that are golf friendly and I've taken full advantage for the most part. Now that I've posted mine, I'd like to see everyone else's 'Top 10'!

Oak Hill CC East
Oak Hill CC West
Country Club of Rochester
McArthur
Adios
Jupiter Hills East
Apawamis
Saratoga National
Turtle Creek Club
Ravenwood

These are a mashup of Southeast Florida and Western, NY. Of all these courses it’s hands down, the Country Club of Rochester. It’s a Donald Ross that was established in 1895.

@Shankster I want to get to MI to play one of these days! In the summer of course 😉

@THEZIPR23 solid list man! Where in CA are you? I'm heading back to CA next year so Torrey will definitely be added to my list.

Yes. Summer would be good. Here’s a live look at the current conditions.

Fresno, pretty much right in the middle. Works out great as I have a 2 hour drive to the best zip code in golf. Torrey is amazing but you gotta go play Pasatiempo. Hit me up when you come back I would be up for a golf trip.

Nice! I'm originally from Grass Valley (north of Sac) and I went to college at Cal State Long Beach before I joined the Navy. I'll be in San Diego from 2020 to 2023 so Torrey and Pasatiempo are definitely happening! I'll let you know when I'm back and we'll tee it up for sure!

I will quickly add that Point o'Woods in SW Michigan just might be the perfect parkland style golf course.  Robt Trent Jones at his finest.  Former home of the Western Amateur, whose past winners at PoW are a who's who of golf.   Requires EVERY shot in your bag.  Private but play it if you get the chance.

Love Mid Pines. My 2nd favorite course at Pinehurst after #2. Got my first hole in one there!

Sort of late to this but agree that Otsego Country Club is a fun course - really underrated given all the more publicized courses in the area.  Have you played Belvedere since the 2017 redo?  Last I was there (2015 I think) it was in sort of disappointing condition, especially given the reputation.
