Tell me your Top 10 courses played!

I can't come up with 10, but here is my list so far:

- Arcadia Bluffs - Bluffs Course (Arcadia, MI)
- Lakewood Shores - The Gailes (Oscoda, MI)
- Black Lake Golf Club (Onaway, MI)

I also noticed that @ballplayer002003 was headed to Pinehurst over the summer, but can't remember seeing any post-trip commentary.  How did it go?

I used to drive past Stoneleigh every time I went out there.  Always wanted to stop there and play it, but never had the opportunity when I lived up there from 2001-2005.

I took a look back at my own list, and I haven't played anyplace that would change it.  I did get to play North Berwick in June, and its really close, maybe that becomes Number 10-A

When we played it this past summer it was in GREAT shape.  I had heard a lot of bad PR about the place but also heard it was on the rebound so we took a chance, just because a lot of us love Mike Strantz courses.  It was bloody hot that day (played it in the afternoon on our way to Pinehurst) and there was nobody on the course.  A storm rolled through for about 10 minutes but the course drained really well (again only about a 10 min rain so take what you will from that).  I really liked this course, and with all Strantz courses, I would need and want to play this again, now that I know what some of the holes actually do.

I can't come up with 10.  If I did, you would have never heard of 8 of them probably.

The best course I ever played was Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN.  Was fortunate to play there one summer back in the mid 90s.  Beautiful day.  Lovely walk.  Shot 81 I think.  Was great to see it on TV for the Ryder Cup a few years back.

Next in line would be Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, MS.  Played here a few times in a fundraising scramble.  Got to caddy there once for the US Women's Amateur.  Beautiful place.

Others are the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama.  All are great courses for a good price.

Some of these will never make a top 10/100/1000 list but usually offered a parkland setting, reasonable rates, and less than four hour rounds. A couple on here suffer from conditioning but make up for it in design. We miss you Cheviot and Waterway Hills!

10. North Park, in Pittsburgh PA - Home course- just because I play there so often, not a great course but inexpensive muni.

9.  Scenic Valley - Finleyville PA - Fun course and my closest to a hole in one 

8. Quicksilver - Midway, PA - Super fast greens and tougher shots

7. Moon Golf Club - Moon, PA - Course that when you look at it should be easy but is somehow challenging 

6. Notre Dame Burke Golf Course - ND's original course that I first learned the game on, now its only a 9 hole

5. Brickyard - Indianapolis - 3 holes inside the Indy 500 track

4. Phesant Ridge - Gibsonia PA - Somewhat repetitive course but greens are always amazing and its where I first broke 90

3. Disney's Magnolia - Fun course and its Disney so Mickey head bunkers 

2. World Tour Golf - Myrtle Beach - Such a cool concept to be able to play famous holes I'd never get to try otherwise.

1. Oakmont CC - hands down the best and most challenging course I've ever play at, more special because my wedding reception was there
