I've not heard of this or recall any thread traffic about it. A quick search using that term and MGS did not yield any hits. It looks kind of neat - although I might not like what my index is . But then, it seems Mr. Reeds wasn't that close to 10, so perhaps mine wouldn't be too bad. Anyone using the app? It's unclear from the video or the article just how the "AI" diagnostic works. For instance, are all the categories weighted equally? Follothru Posted May 8, 2019 Share Posted May 8, 2019 I downloaded this app, but didn't pony up the $30 for an "evaluation." Did you pay for your swing index? Is everyone's potential a 10? I was actually surprised not to find an existing thread on the subject. The website does not offer much detail about how the algorithm/analysis is done. Yes, if I'm reading correctly, 10 is a perfect score. Adam Scott being a spokesman for the system, arguably having one of golf's best swings, but not offering up his swing index number... hmmm? Presuming they are able to get one of the main tour players to have this review done, who do you think will have the perfect score? In the February issue of Golf, Ben Hogan's swing is evaluated and is scored at a "current" SI of 9.43 and "potential" SI of 9.9! He is often cited as the best ball striker the game has ever seen. The same is said of Tiger. I'm hoping to see this swing index system done on Tigers swing (at his peak), but doubt that will happen. I'm a bit surprised more folks aren't interested in this AI assisted tool. It hasn't taken off as I'm sure the company had hoped - even with Adam Scott as their spokesperson.
