I'd be shocked if they release a driver without releasing fairways and hybrids.

Not a clue. They do have the VKTR hybrids right now.

I commend the Ben Hogan company for what they are doing, but some of the stuff is odd.

We could go a year before we see a FW or a week.

I remember them asking what people wanted to see last year, and the BH ball was a hot topic, as were drivers, fairways, and hybrids.

Everyone wanted a 18° FT Worth Hi and they made one.

Probably only a matter of time.

The 18* hi was smart. I’ve never swung a long iron that was easier to hit...especially at such a value.

They’re due for a refresh on the true blade but will likely the Ft. Worth black a chance to fulfill its cycle.

As far as the driver, I don’t understand that choice at all. Few companies can really pull it off from top to bottom with a complete line. Someone somewhere clearly knows what they’re doing.

If they can have a low price point and compete with the big dogs like they do in the other categories, I bet they sell out quickly just like the 18° FTw Hi did after launching.

I mean $700/$735 for a set of irons compared to $1200+...

If the Driver is fairly priced at the $250-$350 range it will be a huge hit for them. That puts them far below most other drivers.

But with the putter launch being $250 a club the driver might be slightly higher.

That is just purely speculation. I have no idea how much it will be. 3 days and we’ll know.

I completely agree. I’d be surprised if it weren’t a $299 driver to compete with Tour Edge.

Now that it’s official on their site, a driver and a fairway for $300 & $200 respectively.

Two takeaways for me...

1) the shaft offerings are vast and really nice choices.
2) the fairway has an epoxied set hosel, no adjustments. I like that.

From the window these look nice!

Great article John. I really hope these things perform as good or better as some of the big OEM’s.

Would be wonderful if another $300 did well and takes a bite out of the big time stuff.

Only thing left is the ball now. Wonder when they will hit.

There are Hogan branded balls all over their club photos and they don't appear to be 30 years old.  I would think something would have to be coming out this year.  We know who to ask to be sure, but he keeps secrets too well.

I like the looks of the new stuff - classy looking IMO.

I want to see a test with these and see how they perform. Hopefully one is in the pipeline for this summer.

Could throw in 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 woods to reach all of the masses.

12° 2 Wood
14° 3 Wood
16° 4 Wood
18° 5 Wood
20° 6 Wood
22° 7 Wood
24° 8 Wood
26° 9 Wood

Yeah. Ok, maybe not a need for all of those.

The writing on the blog has to be miles above any place else.  There is not one writer where I see the name and think, "yeah, I'll skip it".  98% of every other news story about new gear is 98% copy and paste from the manufacturer website.

The new release articles and the forum member reviews are what makes MGS so great, even if the Most Wanted tests are what garner the most attention.

So well done Barbajo!

Noticed it doesn't seem to be the Tensei Pro CK Blue being offered, but the "regular" Tensei CK Blue.  a $130 shaft at Golfworks.

Was bummed MGS didn't have a photo of the crown in the blog post, but it can be seen on the Ben Hogan website. Based on the image provided of the top, all I can say is  "Yuck!". Great looking driver until you see the top and it looks like the big bulging hunk of mass. I hope someone releases better images and that someone like Shiels will review it so I can have a better look. Surely at 445cc, this thing would have a bit more of a classic pear shape.

Regardless, this is definitely an intriguing club that I'd be willing to test drive at some point.

Nice looking definitely but disappointed they went "low-low" in launch and spin.  I can take this one of my demo list definitely.

That's only with one of the three shaft options.  The Tensei and Helium should raise up launch and spin some.
