Bethpage got some revenge on that back nine. Hell of a performance from Brooks to get it done with how hard that course played today and especially this afternoon/evening. Dude's a beast.

He was under under some serious duress for the majority of the day.

Well played. Serious accomplishment just to keep his crap together on the back 9.

Bucket list golf course but probably not one I'd want to carry a scorecard around lol. 6 guys finished under par and it was a damn good test of golf. Wish the US Open would get back to this kind of setup.

Still sick of the stupid hecklers.

Punk A$$ kids yelling you shoulda choked and stuff while he was walking to the scoring hut.

People are stupid and have zero respect. One of the main reasons I will never take my children to any large sporting event.

Agreed...

I’ve seen lots of trying to compare BK to Tiger. Majors by 30 seems to be the big trend.

BK has only been on tour for 5 years, and if he wins the US Open, Open, and Masters he will have more major wins than Tiger in that first 5 year span.

Tiger was 20 when he joined the PGA tour. BK was 24.

Why can’t we let the guy have some credit for what he is doing?

He’s doing just fine.

** just saw a new one**

Starts to win 4, Tiger 21, Brooks 22...

There was definitely a lot more suspense in the last holes than I anticipated with BK having 7 strokes on the field going in. They definitely saved the hardest setups for the weekend. I agree with the earlier post about the US Open setup. This was more fun to watch.

Pebble Beach though is not as difficult a course for these guys. I just hope they don't go overboard with the setup so all we hear about is the course conditions.

Yup, loads......."is BK the new Tiger" etc etc

He will never be Tiger, but what he will be is a reliable, fantastic player who shows little emotion.

Didnt realise he's only been on tour 5 years........and now 4 Majors😮

Some/most go decades without even ONE single PGA win............and they are still millionaires!

I should have snuck away from school more to practice my game🙄😂👏😃

I wasn't even watching the final round as it was going to be a walk in the park. I came on here to see the lead was down to one shot so rushed back to watch the closing.

I agree about set up and make the courses tough, real tough, these are the worlds Elite who will get a Kings ransom to play, they need to earn it and entertain us at the same time.

Agree on the good test of golf.  HV3 going from tied for 2nd to T36 in 18 holes, wow!  If he hit 3 fairways all day I'd be surprised.  If most of us were chopping our way out of those 2nd shot lies, I'm pretty dang certain we wouldn't have shot an 81.  I doubt I could shoot 81 if I hit every fairway. 🙂

Bomb and gouge, bomb and gouge....

...driver, wedge; driver, wedge

probably one of the most boring majors I've ever seen; the poor PGA 'ship....finally gets to move into a prime spot and it's still boring and is sent to the bottom of the heap.

Other than the last 20 minutes it was as dull as dull gets.

I enjoyed it for what it was but agree, it's definitely bomb and gouge.  There were honestly only a dozen or so players with the length combined with enough strength out of the rough to contend this week.  Jordan Speith gained over 10 strokes on the field on the greens and finished 6 shots out of first.  According to a podcast I was listening to this morning, nobody can find evidence of that happening before.  Drive for show, putt for dough is no longer a valid statement!

I believe things will get better for the PGA Championship once they cycle through the next few predetermined host sites.
