chisag
... I have really been enjoying Finca Hungria from GroundWorks coffee and it might be my all time favorite. I trade off with other beans so I don't get tired of this amazing coffee that is very light and bright but still has plenty of flavor and just the right amount of acidity without being sour. I also use Intelligentsia beans that are light roast because they too pack a lot of flavor in their light roasts, but only sparingly because they aren't organic. I went to order some more Finca Hungria, but GroundWorks is out and they may not get them in the future so indeed a limited run. What a catastrophic white people problem!!! I would love to hear about any light, bright organic beans you guys love if they can be ordered by mail. If you have some that truly amazing but aren't organic light/bright beans I would be interested in those too, although I really need to find some new organic beans. Shankster
There’s a local roaster here. I’ll do some research for you. It’s called Dead River Roasters. The light roast I get is local only, but I’d be willing to send some if it peaks your interest.Be next week before I get a chance to go look at where it’s from, but I do believe it is organic. silver & black
Can't help you out with your dilemma.... I'm a shop guy; we drink what ever is in the pot...lol. At home, I just buy Dunkin Donuts coffee. chisag and bens197
bens197
How do you take your coffee? I’m always looking to try something new but I shy away from folks who drink it with cream or sugar. At the firehouse we always have a pot of swill that’s caramelizing on the hot plate for hours When I’m home, it’s Peet’s. I was sold on Peet’s (Major Dickason’s blend) during a trip to the Bay Area last fall. It’s available in the local Wegmans which was a pleasant surprise. JohnSmalls
My go to is a local roaster a few blocks from my office called Knowledge Perk. They opened about a year ago and have been knocking it out of the park. The co-founder who does almost all of the roasting is a very good friend of mine, and he really takes great care in his approach and has forgotten more about coffee than I will ever know. I am normally enjoy a cup on the darker side of "medium", but I do really like their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe light roast. It's on the pricier side but it makes a great cup of coffee. bens197 1 Quote Gameday Vessel Sunday 2.0/ Ogio Silencer Dynapwr Carbon | Hzrdus Smoke Black Mavrik 3w | Evenflow Riptide FG Tour F5 Hybrid(20,23) | MCA Fubuki Staff Model CB 5-PW | DG 120 Vokey SM7 (50, 54, 58) | DG 120 Studio Stock 15 -ProV1x (left dash) Romans 10:9 Classic Bag Jones Collegiate Clemson Stand Bag Eye 2 Laminate 1973 Staff Dynapower 4-PW Anser DUO

chisag
... My coffee experience has been a long journey. Never drank coffee until I was in my mid 20's and my first wife put Hagan Daaz vanilla ice cream in her coffee and I loved it. Of course it wasn't coffee, just a coffee favored desert. Thru the years and Starbucks initial foray into the coffee world I started using vanilla and caramel syrup in my coffee. Once I found out just how detrimental sugar is for my body I began weaning myself off sweetners but it took awhile. A few years ago I finally made it to grass fed cream only because the fat is very good for you first thing in the morning. silver & black and bens197 2 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Have you ever tried (don’t laugh at me because this is seriously a thing) Kerrygold or a similar type butter in your coffee? It sounds repulsive but it’s quite nice. chisag
... Indeed I have drank bulletproof coffee. Kerrygold or local grass fed butter if I can find it. But with heavy cream it isn't necessary as it would be with milk or 1/2 and 1/2. bens197 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Ventus Red Velocore 5R Fairway: Qi10 5 wood ... bardle
You can try roasting your own and ordering in bulk. I used to do it before we had our kid. It's a great feeling to go from green coffee beans to the pot. Sweet Maria's is the site you want to try if you get into it. You can buy a 20 dollar air popcorn popper from Target or Walmart that will get you the best, freshest coffee you have ever tried. bens197 and chisag 2 Quote RH: Driver: F9 9.0º - 14g Low - Evenflow White T1100 75G X Woods: F9 3W - Evenflow White T1100 75G X Hybrids: F9 3H - Aldila Green X Irons: F9 One Length 4-PW - Modus3 Tour 105 S Wedges: King Wedges 50º/54º/58º Versatile Putter: Sigma G Tyne 35" Ball: Srixon Z Star XV #cobraconnect19

I responded, because still thankful to my wife and her coffee habits, they took me to a whole new level. But I still remember my Granny's coffee. Oh, God! High-quality coffee beans - she prefered light roast - White Knight or Cameron's(as example), decent coffee maker and fresh water - that's the recipe for all the times
