Testers Announced Snell MTB-X Golf Balls

Recommended Posts

Brandon W. Cookeville Tn

Driver swing speed 102-105

Irons swing speed 96-100

Current Primary Ball is a Snell MTB 2017 model or 2018 MTB red and 2018 MTB blacks.

I've been playing Snell balls for the last 9 months. I switched from a TP5 ball mainly for cost. After playing with the original My Tour Balls given to me, I switched to Snell Mtb. I have not played the new MTB-X, due to availability of the ball. Would look forward to reviewing this Ball.

Nike Vapor fly driver stock shaft (9.5 loft/stiff)

Callaway Big Bertha Fusion 3 wood 15*

Callaway XR hybrid 19*

Wilson V4 Fg Tour Util iron

Wilson FG Tour V4 Forged irons 5-GW(stiff flex/traditional lofts)

(right handed)

Cookeville, Tennessee

Handicap 15 average 18 hole score 80-90

Never played Snell golf balls.

Titleist drive (TS1)., Callaway Epic Star 5wood; MAVRIK hybrids, Callaway irons, Ping Sand wedge and Vokey 60* wedge.  Still using my Wilson 8813 and am looking for a new putter.  My wife's bag is all Callaway.  I retired from the USAF after 30 years and 17 moves --loved my career.

80 swing speed

Currently play the Calloway "Chrome Soft and" Supersoft". I have played the Snell "Get Sum" and " MTB Red". I liked both, but have not really settled on a specific ball. I've read the testing reviews for the MTB- X  and was intrigued by the compatibility with slower swing speeds.

Bridgestone Tour B X (Just abandoned Callaway Chrome Soft and beat my previous lowest score by 10 (!) strokes the first time I put it into play. Thanks, and a tip of the hat 🧢 to MGS for that.)

Never played Snell and would like to compare results with it against the B X.

Testers Wanted (10)

Fresh off it's stellar performance in the MyGolfSpy 2019 Golf Ball Buyers Guide (Read it Here) the newly released Snell MTB-X is taking the golf ball world by storm.  Within two days of the study the ball was sold out on Snell's website. So what's all the fuss about, can a $32 (Less if you buy in quantity) ball  really perform as well as some of the "Big Boy" balls?  Well that's what we want you to determine for yourself.

Ten members will be selected to receive, test and keep a dozen Snell MTB-X balls (your choice of White or Yellow) then report back on the forum your experience and thoughts of the ball

The new 2019 Snell MTB-X is a 3-piece tour ball designed for lower driver spin, higher ball speeds, reducing “ballooning” with irons and providing excellent feel around the greens.

How To Apply

The only experience I have had is a Snell Black I found. Would be interested in finding the right ball for my swing.

Undecided but have been evaluating Snell Black and MTB-X, Pro V1, TP5 and Z-Star in search of best ball for me going forward.

Have tried and played Snell MTB, MTB Black and MTB-X. I still play the original MTB as I love that ball and have some left.
