Juaneco 2
Hello, Has anyone tested the Bridgestone Tour B RX or RXS balls? I haven't found a topic on them. I recently found a Tour B RX ball and started chipping and putting with it. It was in perfect condition when I found it and after practicing with it, it was in much better condition than the Pro V1's that I also use for practice. I'm amazed with it's durability but I found the B RX to be a little hot off the face compared to the Pro V1 (softer vs firmer feel?). I played a round with it and compared it to my gamer (Srixon Q-star) and didn't see much difference but I also played like crap that day, so it's difficult to say. What experience have you guys with it? Is it worth the buy? Thanks, JD
Shankster 33,062
Haven’t read the entire ball thread. But you could try there and see if there’s any reviews.https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/18861-mygolfspy-master-golf-ball-review-thread/
RickyBobby_PR 9,647
The RX and RXS are going to be softer than v1 and similar to q star. Q star, rx and rxs are designed to reduce spin. If you look at the chart from the ball test you will see those 3 balls are in the good or fair categories. I’ve played all 3 balls and prefer Prov1,1x, tp5/5x over them. They are good balls for cool temps when needing some compression of the ball 2 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1
MaxEntropy 8,218
I was sent a dozen Tour B RX's with the Bridgestone test last fall based on Bridgestone's online fitting tool and generally liked the ball. I also recently found an RXS that was in great shape and played it for quite a few holes before dunking it in a pond and think I prefer the RXS over the RX. Compared to other balls, I prefer the OnCore Elixer or Maxfli Tour X over them, especially around the green, but overall the RX/RXS are decent balls for me. 2 Quote Driver: Epic Speed 9* (set -1) Mitsubishi MMT 70X 3W: Tour B JGR 15* Recoil 460ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-AW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 SW: Zipcore Black Satin 54* LW: Zipcore Black Satin 58* Putter: Stroke Lab Marxman Bag: BigMax Dri Active Lite Ball: TP5x Pix Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ 2021 Test - Callaway Epic Speed
skrupa15 112
The Tour BRX has become my gamer and I'm pretty happy with it. I find it to be longer than the Chromesoft and predictable around the greens. As other have said, it's really durable ball as well. 1 Quote Sean K. Juaneco 2
Thank you all for your replies. I've been using the Srixon Q-star so sounds like the RX or RXS would be a natural transition. JD
BADFanBoi Scotty 118
I switch a but between the RX and the RXS... Usually the RXS in the summer, RX other times. RCS feels better IMHO, I like soft. sp0rtsfan86 924
Gamed an RXS and was pleased with the distance on it. I couldn't tell if it was my swing or if it was the ball but seemed like a got around 10 degrees more distance than a prov1x. I lost a decent amount of spin at the greens though.
