DiscipleofPenick
Are any of the NE Ohio spies thinking of taking advantage of these days? It'll run you $60 but you get on a country club, all you need is a USGA index. I'm looking at Stonewater, Shaker Heights, Red Tail, and maybe Plum Brook. Take Dead Aim That looks awesome and I would love to do it, but don't have an official GHIN - just my unofficial logging in The Grint. I would aim for Signature of Solon if I had the chance. tony@CIC 1 Quote Driver: Epic Speed 9* (set -1) MMT 70X 3W: Tour B JGR Recoil 760ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-AW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 SW: RTX Zipcore Black Satin 54* LW: TAIII Black 58* Putter: Scottsdale TR Senita Bag: BigMax Dri Active Lite Ball: TP5x or AVX (yellow) Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ Testing Complete, Final Review Posted: Sub70 TAIII Forged Wedges

I didn't care for the layout, but it's something everyone should try.Take Dead Aim tony@CIC and MaxEntropy 2 Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: MacGregor MT-86 Pro Wedges: Vokey 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star

Drop off the family at Cedar Point and go play 18 there. Also a public course off of route 2 in Huron is Thunderbird. North course has narrower tree lined fairways, south course is more wide open. Both have very challenging greens. Played the south course today. VERRRRY challenging greens. Next week our group is going to Eagle Creek in Norwalk - never played there but the guys I play with are always talking it up. Given the choice between Plum brook and Thunderbird - I'll take Plum brook. tony@CIC
Played Eagle Creek today. It was DEFINITELY a primo public course and felt more like a private course. Started out stinko but then it was cold and rainy. By the 5th hole I started to come alive - birdies all of the par 3's and a few pars on the 4's. I fell apart the 18th - but probably from lack of nourishment. Much nicer than Thunderbird and similar but not quite as nice as Plum Brook. CIC is still a bit more challenging than either PB or EC. Those aren't easy par 3s.Take Dead Aim Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: MacGregor MT-86 Pro Wedges: Vokey 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star
jjpnyc
Thinking about it. Live in Solon right by Signature...haven't really met anyone that likes that course. Very tight and target golf is what I always hear. Thinking about the Shaker Heights CC play-date. BTW....I'm in a Sunday group at Gleneagles in Twinsburg. 7am-ish standing tee time. If you want to join, we're always looking for people to sub in for regulars (at least typically one opening/week).
