Testers ANNOUNCED: Tour Edge Exotics CBX 119 Hybrid

Recommended Posts

First Name/City, State - Cliff/Pasadena, CA

Handicap/SS - 0.6 index/112mph driver

Current hybrid model Played - Tour Edge Exotics XCG6 17 deg and Tour Edge Exotics EX9 21 deg

What loft you think you would choose and why

19 degree. I hit a hybrid on 8 of the 18 holes at my home club including two 220 yard par 3s. The hybrid is one of the most important clubs in the bag and I haven't found anything that outperforms my current Tour Edge lineup.

I have gamed the first CBX version in a 19 degree loft in hopes to only carry 1 hybrid, but I got a lemon and the head started to come loose on the shaft. Love to try the 119 and give the CBX another shot.

Callaway Epic Divine 9 & Heavenwood

A regular flex 4 hybrid would fill in a gap and replace the P-790 4 iron that I hit well only once in every four shots.

As a Super Senior, [85] with an 18 handicap,  it is obvious that I need more forgiving and accurate clubs to replace the long irons. The opportunity to test a 4,5 or 6 hybrid would be a great incentive to purchase more hybrid clubs.

87 yo avid golfer, play 3-5 times per week, mostly solid off the tee, sometimes very errant in the fairway, usually a good putter. Need golf to maintain physical and mental heatlth, so far so good, LOL.

No hybrid in my bag right now

Looking to add an 19* to fill in between my 5-wood and my 4-iron , would love to try the Tour Edge

Hit a used one at a golf store and loved it!  And, I’m a big Scott McCarron fan!

Cobra amp cell

Currently playing the Cobra at the 4 setting and looking to keep this in the 21 - 23 range for gapping.  I play a TEE fairway and absolutely love it, curious about their hybrids.

Owen / York, Pennsylvania

Handicap: 8 / Swing Speed: 115 mph

Current hybrid model: Ping G Crossover 4 Iron (21°)

I would most likely stick with the 21° because I like to have a little more forgiveness than a 19°, but not too lofted because a fairly sizeable gap would form between my hybrid and wood. Also, the hybrid and 4 iron would become too close.

0.8/ 117

Mizuno JPX 23 degrees

I’d choose a 22 or 23 degrees because the 4 iron is a trickier club to hit and that’s a club that I’d like to have a little more forgiveness in.

Jeff / Buffalo, New York

14 / 98 mph

Adams Super Speed 3H 19* regular shaft

19* loft seems to fit my gapping well between my 3 wood and 4 iron. Still has the workability to hit it high or hit some nice stingers
