BADFanBoi Scotty
Been having fun playing around with a design your own putter applet at Lajosi Golf Australia. As a result, been trying to fine a summary of each face mill type... What does deeper milling mean, the concentric waves vs straight mill etc. Any guides out there? cnosil
No real guides on milling. Milling impacts the sound/feel of the putter; along with other factors. Deeper milling means less face contact with the ball so it generally provides a softer feel than the same putter with no milling. Most people pick milling because of how it looks. There are some milling patterns that are designed to influence speed control like the Evnroll and ping grooves. Some market that it influences the ball roll, but I am not 100% sold on that aspect of grooves. aerospace_ray 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
