Yeah but the problem with GC2 is that it is $5,400 but then you have ti buy FXS 2018 and then the annual fee's of $650, so that takes me right out of my budget range

Wth new units starting a 15k and going up it would appear that a used or refurb is the way to go.

Personally a refurb is my choice as the company should have gone through the unit and you end up with some thing reliable.

where a used unit is all on you when the check clears (does that even happen any more?).

Then you need to ask your self what you want from the unit. Basic info, SS distance etc or more advanced stuff like acceleration profiles and swing path or  even the ability to link up with other sims.

Finally, it depends on your mental make up to the technology you trust. That should narrow down your choices.

Then contact the company and see if a unit exists. Personally I'm a flightscope guy, Mostly because Im used to it.

$6k would buy you a lot of launch monitor time at a local facility.

What about people like myself that don’t live within 50-60 miles of a LM. Plus if I had the money, you better believe I’d buy one.

At my typical green fee rates, that's roughly 500 rounds of golf 😮!  I keep thinking the price of these will start dropping into the reasonable level, but apparently not.

Skytrak may be a good place to start.

It is the lowest priced one that measures the ball with simulator facility.  And will give plenty of 'wiggle room' in the budget for net, screen, mat etc which you can use whatever launch monitor you get now or upgrade to later (if budget allows).

At tech improves so will the price. Meaning go up. I believe the larger units are for folks that do fittings, pros and swing coaches, etc. I.e. people getting paid to be in the industry and those that have a disposable income or just plain ate up with the info the unit can provide.

for golfs wanting to basically improve and track stats much like using game golf or Arccos, the MEVOs and skytracs of the world may be a better choice to track distances, directions, speeds alike. AND not leave a smoking crater in your wallet.
