I keep a pair of the 4 foot Orange/White Fiberglass Snow Stakes in my bag that I use for practice (Alignment, swing length, etc.) and have a 7 x 2 foot putting green in my basement (not the good BirdieBall kind though).  Also track putts per round on my Scorecard, current at 38.4 for past 10 rounds

I have indeed used a putting aid before, and it was puttout! (Shoutout to Mark Crossfield for putting me on to it.) It worked wonders on my short game, until I borrowed it to my neighbor to make him a believer as well and his dog shredded it too pieces last Fall. Still with only using it for a little over a month, indoors on fairly thick carpet, it made a huge difference in my ability to control pace when putting on the course. I visualize it on the green still on my putts 6’ or less. Aim small, miss small.

I've used a putt arc trainer, and I use tee's to make putt gates on the green when I'm warming up.
