bardle
48 minutes ago, GolfSpy Stroker said: I'll start.... and throughout the 43 pages (so far) this may have been asked/answered, but since you all have these new sets of clubs have you done a thorough gapping test with them to determine your easy/regular/hard swing distances? If so can you go into a bit of detail into how you've done it? If not can you explain why not? (i.e. I already know my 7i goes 150...) I haven't done a thorough gapping. Why not? Well two reasons: 1. My range uses limited flight balls so there isnt a great way to determine real distances close by without take the whole set to a fitter and paying for monitor time or a trackman range which is a 60 minute drive from my house... 2. Thats the beauty of Arccos. I made sure all of my lofts matched my old set, so for the irons I know how far they should go. But arccos tells me the range that they actually go without me needing to go try and dial them in. So while more data makes the ranges more accurate, you can also view your longest shot and detailed club information. So I can see my longest shot with a certain club if I know the range is off and I immediately know my limit with that club. You can also see what hole you hit said shot on, so if you hit a 250 yard 4 iron, but the hole you hit it on is hole #4 for example and it plays 50 yards downhill....well then you know thats not a true distance..etc... I don't think you need to gap is what I'm getting at using a system like this, its built in. just go play and check your stats later. Hope that makes some sense... sirchunksalot, goaliewales14 and Bucky CC 3 Quote RH: Driver: F9 9.0º - 14g Low - Evenflow White T1100 75G X Woods: F9 3W - Evenflow White T1100 75G X Hybrids: F9 3H - Aldila Green X Irons: F9 One Length 4-PW - Modus3 Tour 105 S Wedges: King Wedges 50º/54º/58º Versatile Putter: Sigma G Tyne 35" Ball: Srixon Z Star XV #cobraconnect19

I don't really miss anything from the old bag. I've struggled the most with the F9 irons but my old AP2's weren't exactly my favorite either. Not sure what the best cobra club is yet. I've been hitting the 3 wood and hybrids really well lately but top of the mountain is probably the wedges. They are beautiful and they actually work! 1 hour ago, GolfSpy Stroker said: I'll start.... and throughout the 43 pages (so far) this may have been asked/answered, but since you all have these new sets of clubs have you done a thorough gapping test with them to determine your easy/regular/hard swing distances? I started out doing some range testing to get an idea of my general distances but Arccos has firmly supplanted that with on-course data. Hitting rock hard balls off of mats let me know the F9's fly like crazy but that's about it. I have no problem taking 3 wood or hybrid off the tee but I don't want to completely ruin my scores by doing something crazy like putting with one. I would take too much heat from the guys at my course saying I was trying to inflate my handicap on purpose. As weird as it may be, I actually putt with my hybrid when I'm just off the green. It was something I learned at the Tour Striker Academy. I use it when there's a bit too much grass to go through, but not enough to warrant a chip. For some reason, I first read this as a question for the haters.... @bardle because of the size of this thread, you may have posted and I missed it, how is your gapping looking with the one lengths? Perhaps post a screen shot of your Arccos playing distanced? sirchunksalot 1 Quote Driver: Epic Speed 9* (set -1) MMT 70X 3W: Tour B JGR Recoil 760ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-AW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 SW: RTX Zipcore Black Satin 54* LW: TAIII Black 58* Putter: Scottsdale TR Senita Bag: BigMax Dri Active Lite Ball: TP5x or AVX (yellow) Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ Testing Complete, Final Review Posted: Sub70 TAIII Forged Wedges
