Thought of another fun one:
Since Cobra is often known for its color schemes, and this year being no different with the yellow and white drivers, assume you had the ability to chose whatever color scheme you wanted for your driver/woods. What would they look like?

Well, after much consideration. My color would be BLUE, as in #BBN Big Blue Nation

Not sure if this has been asked yet.  But as of this point in the contest, which club has not lived up to expectations and would be the first to be put on the bench?

Also is there a club choice that you wish you would have made instead (ex: extra hybrid instead of an iron, or additional fairway wood versus a hybrid, etc.)?

So this is not a club that has not lived up to expectations per se, but it's a club I just haven't used yet. My 5w. I do not have a single registered shot with it. There has not been a time on the course where I have needed it. I'm not sure if it is due to my comfort level with the 5i, or just the yardages don't call for it.  We shall see.

The whole damn thing!

If you're forcing me to choose one club, the wedges. They just spin the ball easily, move through all types of lies easily, and are the most fun clubs to use for me.

For those of you that came from "less forgiving" and  more spinning/higher lofted irons, have you noticed a difference in your shot making ability when you decide not to take a full swing, or have you noticed a drop in spin to the point that the ball runs through a green when you swing less than a full swing?

My question is for everyone.

Do you prefer a rangefinder or a GPS device to calculate distance?

Which device is your favorite?

Personally, I prefer a GPS device as I can easily maneuver the aim point on the screen with a tap of my finger, rather than needing to shoot a new distance.

I have limited experiences with rangefinders so I may have a skewed viewpoint on this.

Vast majority of the time I will walk using a push cart.  The only time I'll pay for a cart on the course is if it is extremely hot or there are thunderstorms in the area and we might be called back.

My biggest concern was finding the time to play enough and be an active participant in the forum the entire summer.  Luckily my work boss and real boss (wife) are extremely generous.

3 wood.  It's been an absolute beast for me on the tee box and the fairway.  Haven't tried it too much from the rough yet.

I have a Bushnell Tour V4 rangefinder and a Garmin Approach G3 GPS (plus Arccos on my phone).  If I'm playing a round at my home course I don't even bother starting up the GPS.  I know all of the layup distances and only need the rangefinder to get the exact pin locations.  If it's a new course the GPS is probably more beneficial.

The F9 irons are long, high, and straight.  They are harder to shape around trees and other obstructions, but I'll take that trade-off knowing most of my shots will be online.

Haven't noticed any loss in spin around the greens.  My favorite shot with the new irons is a half or 3/4 swing Pitching Wedge that bounces once and stops on a dime.

My Mizunos are only a degree or degree and a half weaker than the Cobras so there's not a lot of difference. They do stop really well no matter what shot I play with them.

I came from game improvement irons, so there’s no big difference I can think of. I can however hit a big draw with my irons when I want to, cannot get one to fade to save my life.

I have my Arccos set to yards so that the bulk of the forum understand what I am doing so I'm not using it for distances yet. Besides I love my range finder, it has made a huge difference to my game especially when coupled with the data from a tracking system like Arccos 😁😎

Shirt and hat showed up today. They look amazing and I couldn't be happier with what Puma picked for me. Will definitely be the shirt and hat I wear when I get back on the course.

Thank you so much MGS and Puma!IMG_20190709_174050847.jpeg.6f695a3d8b4284f1559fdb353e38b910.jpeg

That's a good looking combo! Puma is really hitting it out of the park with the clothing they are sending this year.
Nunfa0 and Bucky CC are correct with the main thing. If you are married or in a relationship, make sure that your significant other understands how much time you will be spending at the range, course, and on the forum. Having their support really helps.
Secondly, be ready to be humbled. Golf humbles us all, but Arccos is another level. The honest data that you see after a round is incredibly helpful, but if you have played like crap the system shows you why. Over and over and over until you stop playing like crap.
Third, and this probably goes for all testing opportunities, but understand that this is not about you. This is an opportunity to serve the members of the forum, not to get equipment. Being selected means that you need to be reasonably accessible, engaging, and thoughtful.
I'm lucky to be in the challenge with four great guys. robertson153, bardle, Nunfa0, and Bucky CC all make me want to be a better contributor to the forum based on their hard work and contributions. It's nice to have us pushing each other. We all want to give you, the forum, the best experience possible.
TL;DR:
1. Have support and understanding at home
2. Be humble
3. Be ready to work hard for others
This is one of the best posts I have ever read. Well done!

Great answers so far to everyone's questions!  Have you found more versatility/less trouble with the cobras than your previous gamers?  If you were to do a cool trick shot, what club would you use and why?

Well as a sneak peek of this week's review, I can escape from places that would make Houdini think twice with a certain club that will, for a few days, remain unnamed 😁😎

What sort of reaction are you getting from other golfers out on the course with the new clubs? Are you hearing any "you've never reached there before!!" from playing partners, any comments on the looks/performance, or are you sneaking in under the radar to drop some low scores?

For years Cobra drivers had a very distinct sound to them. Have you (or your playing partners/neighboring tee box) had any issues with the F9's sound profile?

People like the way they look, I've been getting lots of oohs and aahs. Performance wise I have been hitting them really well but there hasn't been an increase in distance yet. Personally I blame winter and a complete lack of roll 🌨️😁😎
