Popular Post JohnSmalls
Puma Ignite NXT Solelace first impressions review: First off thank you Puma and MGS for hooking me up with some new kicks! I finally got a chance to take them out for what they are made for...golf! The new rubber nub pattern on the bottom of the shoes did indeed provide lock down grip anywhere from the tee box to the sand trap. In the past I have had traction problems with previous spikeless designs from Puma and Nike, and spiked designs from Adidas, but this new traction pattern is among the best I have used and kept my feet locked down like Velcro. Compared to the 3 year old design of my previous Puma spikeless shoe the new shoes is improved in every way possible. The new ignite foam is more responsive as well as pillowy soft and needs zero break in time. They are ready to go straight from the box. I was admittedly skeptical about the new “solelace” method for the lacing system. In fact I wouldn’t have bought them versus a regular “system”. However, after one round of wearing them, I am sold. I compared these to the regular lacing system at Dick’s, and these to me provided a more locked down and supportive shoe. In fact, this is the most supportive and secured I’ve felt in a spikeless shoe. I would now choose these over regular laces. One of my biggest tests for a shoe here in the south is how hot do they get on a mid summer day? Waterproof shoes tend to be unbreathable furnaces for your little piggies in the summer. I am pleased to report Puma has managed to make a breathable waterproof shoe. My feet thank you. Is there anything wrong with the shoe? Yes. They are cut very generously, so you’ll need to check out at least half of a size smaller than normal. The neoprene portion of the shoe causes a very snug but comfortable fit. Larger feet and higher arches may not find the fit to suitable to their needs. With that said, these may be the best golf shoes I have ever worn. The style fits both on and off the course. I’m glad it does, because for the first time ever, I didn’t want to take them off after I got back to the car. TL/DR +Comfortable out of the box, supportive yet soft, exceptional spikeless traction/stability, breathe well, minimal foot fatigue -size runs large, may not fit wide feet in reg sizes MDGolfHacker, MaxEntropy, downlowkey and 8 others 9 2 Quote Gameday Vessel Sunday 2.0/ Ogio Silencer Dynapwr Carbon | Hzrdus Smoke Black Mavrik 3w | Evenflow Riptide FG Tour F5 Hybrid(20,23) | MCA Fubuki Staff Model CB 5-PW | DG 120 Vokey SM7 (50, 54, 58) | DG 120 Studio Stock 15 -ProV1x (left dash) Romans 10:9 Classic Bag Jones Collegiate Clemson Stand Bag Eye 2 Laminate 1973 Staff Dynapower 4-PW Anser DUO
Popular Post robertson153
Apparently Arccos doesn’t think courses have trees. This is at my course hole #4. Arccos said hit driver, the arrow indicates the line I would need, and the one Arccos recommended. So not to take a penalty I hit driver, trying to hook it with all I had, I didn’t work. I ended up taking an actual 1 stroke penalty when it flew in the hazard dead straight ahead. Come on Arccos, there’s a reason I’ve played that hole 35 times and used a hybrid every time. GregB135
This has been a really fun topic to follow. Good job by all the competitors and other contributors to the thread. I'm taking my shot at the Week 8 challenge. Here's my logic 5 competitors all making an equipment change through the whole bag via custom fitting which SHOULD net better results. The competition was 8 weeks long, and with the prescribed challenges was not exclusively straight-up 18 hole golf. 8 weeks is not a long period of time with respect to making a significant change in handicap -- The lower handicap players are at a bit of a disadvantage here because it's harder to shoot scores low enough to move the 20 score average The adjustment for new equipment could go either way, but given the time period it is not likely anyone's number moved very far. Starting handicaps were a mix of mids, with one each high and single digit. Solution/Guess: Giving the high handicapper @bardle some benefit of the doubt for moving the overall number a bit further than the others, and Cobra some credit for most of the numbers moving down I'm going with a total aggregate handicap change of....... After the extremely hot start he got in this thread I thought for sure he would end up with about 1,000 more posts than anyone else here. Should we send out a search party? He must be out looking for the hottest new gif to post. He is home schooled so I guess since he is off for the summer he no longer has the CCC#3 as part of his curriculum. downlowkey
I’m going with a net improvement of 11.5 for the group. It’s been a lot of fun following your progress the past couple months. You have all done a great job - thanks! We've been posting rounds, screenies with scores on them, etc.. a little due diligence may well go a long way on this one. I mean I'm pretty sure we all shot net under par with only 4 clubs... I'm not trying to help or anything but the prize for this week is pretty significant and the effort it takes to make a decently educated guess is not very high based on the posts in this thread... I'll say that there were solid facts behind some of my numbers for each person when I posted my amount bardle and palvord 2 Quote Driver: Callaway Rogue ST Max 3 Wood: Taylormade SIM 3 Utility Iron: Srixon U85 4i – 5i: Taylormade P790 6i – AW: Taylormade P770 SW: Taylormade MG3 TW Grind LW: Taylormade Hi-Toe 3 Low Bounce Putter: PXG Battle Ready One & Done
