Hey GB13 there is a testing opportunity for a Wilson junior set. If you need a sponsor I’d be glad to do it. Just let me know?

Glad I played in a scramble tonight so I didn’t have to record that 3 for 7 fairways hit. Getting my 18 hole round in tomorrow and another Saturday 🤞maybe it’ll go better.

😂🤣😂🔥🔥🔥

At this point, I'd take any new clubs I can get! Although they might be a little short for me, but I'd think I could make it work. 😬

Fair enough, but I'd definately take new clubs and have @Wedgie write the review for me. I'll benefit and force him to do all the work. 😁

So I tried to play very conservative off the tee today to boost my fairways stats.  Worked for a few holes, but then I had this:

thumbnail_IMG_0831.png.2fe0e5b5ccdb938d436a454f7888a391.png

Yep that is a 5 iron off the tee shanked 100 yards, a punch out iron that went 34 yards, and then a 218 yard 4 hybrid hit to two feet for a tap in par.  This will definitely be posted to the P.A.T.T.S. hall of fame forum.

I'd print that out and frame it if it were me! That's a heck of a hybrid shot.

I don't know either.  I'll take the par every day but it was definitely a struggle.

Golf should really have a stat for these type of holes.  We already have putts so how about P.A.T.T.S.Par After Terrible Tee Shot.

One thing I try to say after a poor to bad tee shot that doesn't result in a penalty is.. "I can still make par from there." It's surprising how often I can achieve that result by starting with that attitude. (After the appropriate verbal reaction of course).

A question for all the Cobra testers regarding Cobra connect and the Driver.

As you know I bought a Cobra F9 (delivered today😃) and the app looks useful, however, once I set up and pair it to my driver how does it know and record the Driver distance if there isn't a second shot using a club with a sensor as I only have 1 Cobra club?

I used Arccos driver with my F7. I'm not sure how it knows but it does have a tendency to be accurate. What I used to do if I hit a good drive to make sure it was accurate was pull my phone out on the way to the ball and hit the add shot button or whatever it is on the driver app.

I'm not sure if that was helpful. Just came off the beach and let's just say I'm a tad tipsy at the moment. 😅

Great question.@bardle is right. The best way to make sure the yardage is correct is to pull out your phone and hit next shot, or confirm that a 2nd shot was recognized after you swung.

Ok boys.

Package waiting for me on the porch in the dark.  Feel like a kid at Christmas.

Big thank you to Cobra/Puma for the opportunity to try out these shoes.

As a podiatrist I make shoe recommendations every day so I will give you my professional assessment....and tomorrow I will give you my on course assessment.

First, the shoes do run a little on the large size so make sure you try them out first as they are a little big, but I just put a pair of my bigger orthotics in the shoes, and they fit fine now.

Second, the shoes do have torsional stability when you try to twist them side to side.

Third, the forefoot only breaks....or bends at the appropriate spot where your foot would bend.  Some shoes will bend at the midfoot level which is not going to be a comfortable shoe.

Fourth, there is a rigid heel counter although it is a little on the small side so stability will be compromised a little bit.

The fit is like a sock....and surprisingly....there is plenty of room in the forefoot area to accommodate my tailors bunions.  Shoe seems to be very well cushioned.

This shoe probably won’t work well for people with really flat feet....or who need a lot of stability in a shoe....if you are one of these people.....you know it!

The insole is removable....really cheap shoes have the insole glued into place.  The only exception to this rule is a well made dress shoe.  The lasting appears as though it is quality.

This is a good looking shoe.

Congrats!

Regardless of what happens during the contest this year I may have to purchase a pair of Puma shoes.  I can't walk on gravel cart paths anymore in my Footjoy BOA's.  I take three steps and immediately end up with a few pebbles in my shoes.  For some reason I just can't get them tight enough without cutting off circulation.  At least the BOA part makes it easy to take them off and constantly empty out my shoes!

Nothing worse than that tiny pebble that hides in your shoe 🤣😁
