Me too. None of the problems I have to answer are as simple as "7".

The answer HAS TO BE 280 (using Arccos handicaps, if not it's 262 even though @palvord is slightly ambiguous, it rounds to the same number)... even the resident accountant came up with that.

in a shocking twist.. maybe Stud's math is wrong!! 😜

Unless your counting Bucky's HC as 7 which is what he said it was for his flighting instead of the official 6.3, then the answer is 263.

The fact that I have been in wedding festivities all day and this hasn’t been solved yet gives me hope...However because of said wedding, (in Yorktown, VA and can’t get a chance to go to MGS headquarters) I’m exhausted. Good luck everyone.

The answer is 27.

By the way @JohnSmalls I hit driver off every par 4 and par 5 tee today 😁. It didn't do me any good but never mind, I got to swing that sexy weapon 14 times 😁🥰😎. Here is the proof, the 14th is the hybrid lay up hole. I went through the fairway and had to punch a low shot to the green

So week two already!!

giphy.gif

My stats for this week were looking real good until today. Only hit 4 fairways but hit 12 greens so shot 79. This really is a stupid game some days. My total fairways hit this week comes to 17 from 42 (ouch)

I sit here tonight sipping a beautiful craft APA and pondering the question “Is the Cobra F9 better than my Ping G400 LST?”

IMG_20190623_221627.thumb.jpg.b65b820444711a56c4601fcdfb22f1bc.jpg

So far I have had 4 recorded rounds with the Cobras and a few more practice rounds. I was looking for consistancy, nice ball striking and maybe a draw off the tee. Well it has delivered all that I have asked and more.

Right from when I first saw the club the shape and colour scheme suited my eye. The yellow really pops and I like the glossy black finish on the top.

When it comes to performance this driver is a cut above and leaves the Ping for dead. It's long and straight with a beautiful ball flight. I am easily hitting this where I was hitting the Ping and we are currently in the middle of Winter!! I can't wait to hit this club when it's warm. I can see myself reporting many a tree fiddy drive come summer. Another thing I love is the confidence I have with this club. I am happy to stand up and aim for a fade knowing that I'm going to be able to control it.

So in summary yes the Cobra is far better than the Ping, my driving handicap has gone from 7.9 to 4.5 and there is no way anyone is taking it off me!!

giphy.gif

I noticed that you have the weights in the most forgiving option for the Cobra.  Were you not getting enough spin or accuracy with the heavier weight forward?  By having the LST, I would have guessed that to be your setup for the Cobra.

Time to talk about the boom stick baby. I dig the looks. In particular the yellow alignment aid on the black carbon crown looks really good to me at address. The white evenflow makes the head pop even more.

MVIMG_20190506_181404.thumb.jpg.6f307123d6e87139dab090aa7302e057.jpg

The jury is still out for me on the performance. It's a big change between the stiff 65 gram shaft to the x stiff 75 gram. I'm still trying to figure out my swing with it really. I can't seem to swing as freely as I could with the old shaft so while I can slow down and be accurate. I can't really let loose or else I end up in the woods.

I've tried numerous different settings and even altered my swing at the range and nothing seems to work when I take it on the course. For now we'll blame the Archer but as of this moment my driving handicap is up a stroke from the baseline and my smart distance is down 15 yards.

Screenshot_20190623-132432.thumb.png.5b1d6739a1b5820fa0c257a6dcdb97be.png

My dispersion is almost even between left right and center where with my old f7 I was about 50% center and an even 25% left and right. So the Juries still out, hopefully I can get used to it soon.

It's so bad that I walked off the course after 6 holes today. I just gave up and went to the range for an hour or two trying to figure things out...

Total fairways hit was a measly 8/20...
