While I think this reaction was the goal of this thread, but damn! My next set of clubs will probably be Cobra. That's just a good looking set!

Adding a Cobra F8 3-4 Wood today if all goes according to plan.

How are the reviewers finding the shoulder strap fitting side to side? That's a big issue I'm running into with my son right now, he wants a dual shoulder bag but we haven't found one that fits him comfortably. The adjustments on the bags we've tried so far have only had minimal adjustment in that aspect.

What exactly is the problem with the other bags you've tried? I haven't had much issue. My putter occasionally tries to escape but I can quickly tighten up one shoulder so its angled a little higher to prevent it.

The shoulder straps are too far apart and no good way to really adjust them to fit. Granted, he's 5' 5" right now (and growing) so that's part of the issue.

@Nunfa0 we need some of your cheeky banter to spice things up, exactly how does one carry a bag in the land down under?

Played my four club round yesterday. Had fun with the challenge. For sure enjoyed being able to play after a lesson. I felt more confident and comfortable in my full shots. Lost most of my score to a poor short game. But, overall I’m happy with how I played.

Course: Rackham Golf Course
Rating: 71.6
Slope: 129
Gross Score: 90
Clubs used: 3w, 7i, PW, 52*

O interesting. I can take a look and let you know. I'm 6'3 so I don't usually even think about that stuff. but I'll see what the adjustability looks like on tightening up the distance between the straps sometime this weekend and get back to you if none of the other testers do before me.

You strap it around your waist!

Well being upside down your balls do have a tendency to fall out so you do need to keep all zips fastened at all times. Strapping it round your waist is ok but I find on the shoulders with a leg rope from the bottom of the bag to either leg to stop it from just falling off works for me. 😏😁😎

Ok. So the other competitors know my Arccos handicap has been messed up this whole time. I’ve been back and forth with the Arccos support people, we’ve finally got it figured out. The course rating and slope rating was wrong for my home course. Now that we got that straightened out my pre Cobra Arccos handicap was 14.7. I’ll give them that, they’ll work hard to figure out any problems you have with their system.

That's really good to see. That was a concern for me, but dedicated customer service is a huge plus for any company.

Now that winter has remembered that it's supposed to be cold and wet here I am not going to get any more golf in this week.

So here is my round

7/17/2019

Templeton Golf Club

127/70.5

Gross 77

Clubs used hybrid, 7 iron, wedge, 56*

It was my second attempt at this with my first being an 83. This has been brilliant fun to do and I will be suggesting it to my clubs match committee as a possible competition in future.

It really makes you think about where you're hitting the ball, what shots you need to play and where you can bail out. I somehow managed to play solid golf with the odd hiccup along the way. Twice, on 13 and 17, I hit bad shots and had to recover to the fairway. I then chipped with 7 iron on both and hit it to a foot on both 😁😎. I made two birdies, both from long putts, 10 pars and 6 bogies. Here are a few of my good holes.

Screenshot_20190720-112001.thumb.png.c6059c27dd0aadeb9b584b92b9db5580.png

And this is what my round looked like in total

So there you have it, the four club challenge is so much fun. You should challenge your buddies to it but choose your clubs wisely 😁😎

This week we are giving our opinions on the bags.

We were given the option between the ultralight cart bag or the ultralight stand bag. I chose the stand bag because I have a great, waterproof cart bag already and I've never had a stand bag before.

Being a fan of all things blue there was only one colour combo for me

Being a stand bag virgin I had no idea what to expect but it was love at first sight. The bag is super light and comfortable on my back. It sits nicely on my shoulders and is easy to carry.

It has a good amount of pockets and storage, I don't think you would want anymore, it would add too much to the weight.

The five way top gives adequate space, it is a little tight but again it comes down to weight and size.

Over all I am very happy with the bag and would recommend it to all.

Oh and did I mention that when I'm feeling lazy it fits perfectly on my cart 😁😎

The four club challenge was a lot of fun but I was glad to have my full bag in play for today's tournament round.  I'd post about how many great shots I hit but none of them were really all that special.  I made 0 birdies but still managed to shoot 76.  I don't remember ever shooting something as low as +4 without making a single birdie in a round.  It was strange.

If I had to choose one shot/hole I guess it would be getting up and down from a par 3 tee shot that I pushed 20 yards to the right of the green.  I know, not that impressive but it's hard to choose when you don't break par on a single hole!  🙃

My partner had a solid round as well and we currently sit in a tie for 3rd place out of 22 teams.  I'll be back at it tomorrow morning for round 2.

Despite my best efforts to top my first round of the 4 club challenge no luck!

Played 36 today and both 80. Can't help but feel there was a lot left out there.

Anyway!

07/16/2019

Lost Creek Golf Club

68.2/127

Gross 79

2 iron, 6 iron, 9 iron, 54.

Probably the most fun golfing I've had in a while and some stupid mental mistakes cost some brilliant rounds. But that's golf!

Thanks again John it was a blast and thanks to mgs as well.

Made up a six shot deficit to tie for 1st place after 36 holes.  It was a three team playoff which was won on the first hole when a competitor made birdie (net eagle).  Sucks that my team didn't win but I'm pretty happy with a 2nd place finish out of 22 teams.

I did manage to make 3 birdies today but shot 78 compared to my 76 yesterday.  Time for a nap!!!
