Choeppner
Hey Everyone, Thanks for the great comments guys The e-mail and PM response has been great so far Attached are photos taken today of the first Damascus MACHINE Putter being milled in the Haas CNC Milling Center. This is #1 of 8 from the 1st Run of Damascus M2A Converters. Note that the pattern is not as noticeable as we mill the putter. It comes out when we finish with either acid etch, gunmetal bluing and or hot sauce flaming (or combination of these finishes). However, you can still see the patterns on the stock metal on the face side. I'm going to try and get some more photos that I can post tomorrow as they progress in being milled Thanks, -Chris MACHINE Custom Putters Rep Feel free to contact me with any questions at: [email protected]
Jondagcl
I'm enjoying the pictures in this thread so far. It's cool to get a look behind the scenes and see how the magic happens!!! Thanks!
Choeppner
Hey Guys, I hope everyone is having a great day I promised you more In-Progress Pics and here they are These are photos of the Damascus Converters, #'s 1-8 in process, after the 2nd CNC machining operation is complete. The heads now have hosel ports milled and other finish dimensioning passes. We aren't milling sight lines or dots, etc. that we normally do on production putters in this op. Any alignment cuts will all be done to order on the Bridgeport mills. Note the in-hand shot showing the one of one pieces of Mosaic forged Damascus. This is a really special piece, as the pattern is really cool the way they fold this one. The patterns will be somewhat normal on the top surfaces and sole, but will show off the Mosaic pattern on the ends of the heel and toe. Due to the costs of the materials and added work on this one, it Does carry an additional charge for this specific piece as we ordered it to be different than the rest If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Thanks in advance -Chris MACHINE Custom Putters Rep Feel free to contact me with any questions at: [email protected]

RookieBlue7
Chris, how much are these going to be, or am I out of line asking in this manner? Also, never did get back with you about trying to find a Machine a while back, when you were still in Statesboro. I know you guys don't do a true center shaft, or anything remotely similar, but the longneck M2A's with the fatback, are they face balanced?
