gchester33
I have also been a fan of the yellow. Makes it much easier to find the ball in the rough, where I spend much of time. I have been finding the ball to be long but it's taking me some getting used to on the short game front. Also have found that the yellow doesn't hold up particularly well to scrape from trees/cart paths. josmi15 and MattF 2 Quote Driver: Callaway Rogue - Project X HZRDUS Yellow, 6.0, 63g Fairway: Callaway Epic 3 wood, Rogue MAX stiff, 75g 4-6 Iron: Mizuno JPX-850 - Project X 5.5 7-PW: Mizuno JPX-850 Forged - Project X 5.5 Wedges: Mizuno MP-T5 (50, 54), Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth 60 ES Putter: Odyssey Marxman, Currently tested and kept Golf Pride Tour SNSR Contour Pro 140cc grip

tehuti
The Callaway Truvis won today, but it wasn’t exactly a fair fight. Wedgie
Here’s a few thoughts to nibble on so far. Z Star longer off the tee for me than the MTB-X. Lowest round of the year with MTB-X. Z Star more durable. Started tournament with Z Star and played it for 2 holes. Played the remaining 43 holes with MTB-X. I will never go back to a “soft” ball. edingc
Wanted to say a big, "THANK YOU," to everyone who posted pictures and commented about the optic yellow color. I ordered a dozen yellow MTB Blacks last week, and after playing 36 holes in the last 18 hours, I can safely say I probably will not switch back to a white ball. The yellow was so much easier to track in flight and see in the grass. As I play a ton of rounds by myself, this is huge for me. This morning I hit a few that I lost on the way up, but because of the color I was able to pick the ball up on its descent. Sped up my play a ton because I spent almost no time looking for my ball during the last two rounds. As far as durability goes, I'm impressed. I played all 36 holes with the same ball, hit somewhere between 10-15 trees, and besides a few discolored marks, there is not a scuff or sign of any cover damage on the ball. russtopherb, MattF, GC70 and 4 others 7 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. Shankster
Quick notes from my rounds with the MTB-X, at first I was ballooning them like crazy and coming up way short on everything from top to bottom of the bag (minus the putter)...I’ve made a grip adjustment over the past month or so, I was leaning towards a weak grip again. Always seems like this happens in the middle of the year for me.Practice update: if it isn’t raining tomorrow I plan to go spend a hour or so on the short game area. My practice is paying off in this part of my game. Going to see if the MTB-X is a bit gripper on those “forced checkers”...I’ll update if I get rained out.
