You agree? Not longer than premium balls like V1X/XV/Tour B X? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro For me with a 94 MPH swing speed the MTB-X has been 5 yards shorter off the tee than the Z Star but my iron distances seem to be up a bit. In very minimal same day testing the MTB-X and ProV1x are about the same for distance and the Srixon XV is about 10 yards longer off the tee. Off the top of my head in 6 drives with the XV 4 were longer than my longest drive over 6 rounds with the MTB-X. But, it doesn't mean I scored any better because of it. Shankster
Holding strong with 9 right now. Working on the durability part of the test. I only take a ball out of play if it is really cut up, or I lose it. Other than rinsing 2 and donating one into a snake ridden jungle... I can’t seem to lose them. edingc
By chance, has anyone played the MTB Black and can compare to the MTB-X? I donated my first yellow MTB Black to an irrigation pond this morning, leaving me 11 yellow and seven white MTB Blacks left. Trying to decide if I want to go all in on the Blacks or of I should get a pack of MTB-X to try. For reference, this year I've tried Srixon Q-Star Tours, TaylorMade Project (a), Snell MTB Blacks and Vice Pro. Loved the Snell's, Vice were second favorite, Q-Stars third and hate the Project (a). High ball flight with good spin on full shots, exceptional distance off driver, but lacking on spin around the greens which ultimately made me go back to the V1x. The Black never really inspired me enough to have consideration for going in the bag permanently. The X did, but at the end of the day I like the control around the greens that I get from the V1x above everything. edingc, JohnSmalls, PMookie and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max LS Tensei AV Blue S 3w/5w: TSi2 Tensei AV Raw Blue S 4h: CLK 22* Hybrid Tensei CK Pro Blue 80HY S Irons 5-PW: 223 Steelfiber PR 95 S Wedges: RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 50, 54, 58 Steelfiber PR 105 Putter: LAB Link.1 Ball: Z-Star Diamond

Shankster
Shank, any guesses on why you're not seeing as much spin around the green? And which ball are you comparing to again? Not sure why. I shouldn’t say it’s not getting enough. Just seems more inconsistent, the ones I expect to grab quickly take a few extra bounces. The new “home” course has a lot of greens where I can use a running shot, been doing and working more on that technique. That and the low one hopper.I’m comparing them to the BStone Tour B XS. JohnSmalls
Shankster
Got a little practice in today. About 2 hours worth.Varying shots from green side chips to 100 yard knock down Wedges. One big thing I am noticing is the sound. It’s almost exactly the same as the V1x to my ear. On the bright clicky side of the scale.Comparing them to a softer Tour B XS probably isn’t a fair gauge, but it’s going to be hard to kick the XS out. I was seeing more ballooning today into the wind with wedges. Coming up 10-15 yards short from around 85... while the BStone was dancing on the floor. goaliewales14, PMookie and JohnSmalls
