Fluke. Rigged...

That game started the demise of Lloyd Carr.... and that statement that Mike started the downfall of Michigan football.

A few teams have those terrible losses since, Michigan just wanted to be the first.

Crazy.

Maybe next year………?

Funny you say that about Hart, State is 8-3 since that comment!
Michigan should win handily today.

Go Mountaineers/LSU Tigers!!!

Indiana looked really good today. Next week will be a test.

I knew Minnesota was too good to be true....

This would have been the perfect year for an 8 team playoff. Lots of good 1 and 2 loss teams that could compete at that level... but we’ll get two from one conference in the playoffs instead.

I’m looking forward to the annual beat down. Wouldn’t expect anything less.

Your team looks great as usual. Hopefully Michigan can at least make it entertaining for at least a quarter or 2.

So let's say Oregon beats Utah in the Pac 12 championship game, does a 1-loss Bama get in over a 1 loss Oklahoma or Baylor?

Also, Texas is back in case y'all didn't hear...back to mediocrity.

It won’t happen, but I’d like to see the a bunch of 2 loss teams just to throw a wrench in things.

11-2 LSU
11-2 Clemson
11-2 Ohio
10-2 Georgia
10-2 Bama
10-2 Utah
10-2 Oklahoma
10-2 Florida
10-2 Michigan
10-2 Baylor...

Who’d you pick the cards fell that way?

A simple oversight, honest mistake, I understand  🙂.

Minnesota vs. Utah in the Rose Bowl (didn't see that one coming).  Notre Dame should be playing in the Orange Bowl if they beat Stanford.

I'm sure people got tired of me blabbing about it last year, but all of this stuff is basically an algorithm for the committee. Assuming they don't completely change how they judge teams from the previous 5 years and earlier this year, Bama would get in over OU if Oregon beats Utah. It's actually gonna be really close even if Utah beats Oregon.

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but that's how they've done it. It's a combo of SOS, quality wins, T25 wins, T10 wins, game control (how bad you beat teams), and the quality of your loss if you have one.

Is it just me, or does this seem like is a year where picking only two teams for the national championship and then putting the rest into bowl games would be best? I really feel like the best two teams are obviously Ohio State and LSU, and I think we all want to see them play for the title. So let’s get rid of the whole, “who should be number 4, because no one seems good enough” debate, and just let the two best teams play for it all. No playoff, no selection committee, no outlandish scenarios, no bullshit, just the game everyone wants to see, and expects.
