We’re 10-9 against the mighty SEC. and as a Baylor fan, I don’t give two craps about the big 12 because they’ll screw us at every turn. I have no big 12 loyalty but I can’t stand SEC arrogance. Blame it on the Aggies.

Georgia has 13 players sitting out. 3 starters on offense and 3 starters on defense.  Out of the 13, 12 are listed as 1st and 2nd teamers. WOW

Yea we are hurting for certain! I’m not looking for a win in this game

Actually it is 16 but only 2 players are sitting out.  The rest are injuries with one player ineligible because of academics.  Unfortunately the 2 that chose to sit are our starting offensive tackles.

That’s a lot of guys out, but who replaces them? A 4 star? We have a grand total of 7 4-star recruits. If a starter goes down, he gets plugged by a 3 star. And even with all these guys out, you’re still a 5 point favorite. Should be a fun, physical game.

 

We are also enjoying another round of “Rhule to the nfl” rumors which doesn’t bode well for psyche.

Notre Dame has a 58% 67% win percentage against the vaunted SEC...   .

The Kentucky vs. Virginia Tech game was a really good one.  What a great final seconds win for Kentucky.  But the "Belk Bowl"...really?  Am I the only one who has never heard of this bowl?  I had to look up who/what Belk is .  If we're going to spawn these contests like tadpoles in a puddle, lets get some good names/sponsors.  Here's a few I suggest:

• Jim Beam Bowl
• Duluth Underwear Bowl
• Budweiser Bowl

...other suggestions? 

 

 

Don’t knock Belk. The owners of the department store chain are based in Charlotte and heavily involved in golf. The Belk family is responsible for bringing tournament golf back to Charlotte and Quail Hollow after the Kemper Open moved to the greater DC metro area in 1981. They were also instrumental in bringing the 2017 PGA to Quail Hollow.

Belk has a few big stores close to us in FL. Never heard of them when we lived in New England.

The two houses you can see on TV on the long par 5 #7 at Quail Hollow are owned by the Belk family. You can always see people sitting beyond the pond that sits beside the green in the back yard on lounge chairs enjoying the action.

Congrats to Bama and crew. Even without some starters they are still great. Or Michigan is just plain terrible, maybe a little of both.

Glad to see the Shae Patterson era over.... it will only get worse from here.

Both good games.  Tough late interception by Michigan - a score on that drive would have made for a better finish.  Minnesota, arguably had one of the best seasons in Div I football... really solid.

I thought UM's defense looked solid btw Shankster. I didn't get to see the first half because I was on the golf course, but it seems that yall made all of your field goal attempts.
