Underrated sign that the TOUR season has hit a lull: @Shankster doesn't a thread created for a new tournament two weeks before the event begins

That said, I'm excited about this one because @Kirke and I will be attending Tuesday's practice round. Looks like we'll probably get a little wet, but I'm still looking forward to a great day of memories with my son.

This is the third pro tournament I've attended: the previous two were majors (PGA at Whistling Straits and the US Open at Erin Hills). I'm suspecting (and hoping) that a practice round at a non-major will offer even a better chance to see guys up close.

I can't get "Sticky Note Classic" out of my head.  Thanks Brendan Porath and Andy Johnson!  Fun fact, TPC Twin Cities was built on a former sod farm.  PGA Tour sticking with the tried and true method of building nondescript golf courses with unimaginative layouts and cookie cutter homes to attract "groupthinkers" from all over.  Yet another tournament I won't watch.  On an aside, the European Tour is playing Lahinch!!!!!!!!

Check out the newest TPC, TPC Toronto. 3 excellent 18 hole courses, all with a slightly different feel. Next week they are hosting a McKenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) event and it should be excellent.

If you really want to check it out, I might know a playing partner for you...

Matthew Wolfe shooting darts from everywhere. 29 at the turn, currently 3 under on the back, and now tied for the lead.  Needs to birdie the last three holes to do it.

Dude! I have been DVR’ng the Irish Open just to see Lahinch! I want to go to Ireland/Scotland badly (I’ll get there) and I’d play this course with a smile if I shot 179. On the front. What a layout.

Well, that was a great attempt. Amazing composure for a 20 year old . Settling for a 62 must sting a little given how great his second shot on #16 was and #17 not playing that difficult. And that folks is why it remains rarified air.

Haven’t watched a minute of the Sticky Note Classic but have glanced at the leaderboard a few times on my phone. Not much mention of Colin Morikawa given everyone’s fascination with Matt Wolff and Viktor Hovland.

Don’t sleep on Morikawa. This kid has enormous game!

Wow, DeChambeau eagles 18 to post -20 then Wolff eagles on top of him to get to -21. Unreal finish. Morrikawa has an eagle putt to tie Wolff.

What an incredible finish this has been. Very solid play by these young kids down the stretch. The Eagle to take back the lead on 18, what a great win for Wolff

Actually his swing is pretty normal, his “trigger” to start his swing makes it look really bad, he starts the swing very upright, but from the top he drops it into the slot very nice. At least that’s what I saw in the slow motion view.

It's definitely different but he hits the normal positions on the downswing. Backswing is very loopy and Jim Furykesque but taken to another level.

From a side angle view it doesn't look out of the ordinary at all but once you get the down the line view you really see just how loopy it is. But hey, it works for him. There's no one way to play this game after all.

It is a very very sound move. Unorthodox looking for sure, but he delivers the club to the ball with very little face rotation in relation to path. That means straight shots. His coach Greg Gankas breaks it all down on the YouTube. It can be difficult to listen to him sometimes, but he is full of great information...
