Is it just me or are these Irish fans amazing? I don’t think I’ve seen such a good atmosphere since I started watching golf...

The Masters with Tiger was cool. But these fans are just top notch... even cheering PR on.

Haven’t heard one stupid remark, nothing.

I think it's just a case of the weather. The U.S. Open was uber calm for an oceanside course which resulted in the low scores.

This round of The Open was also wicked calm which led to some real low scores. With what's expected in the forecast tomorrow I don't expect we'll see them go much lower at all. It's part of the way the R&A sets up The Open Championship every year. If the weather is ideal for scoring, the players are going to pick the courses apart, but you get the wind blowing and some rain or cold weather, the courses get much, much harder.

Your last statement is what it comes down to. These guys are way too good to not take advantage of conditions like that.

I think the course setups this year for the majors have been outstanding on the whole. If the other elements had been there, we'd be having single digits under par for winning scores across the board, I have no doubt.

Is it me. Or are these major championships all turning into ‘how low can you go’ events.Damn these guys are good

I like his approach to it. Very old school set up.

Less overlap. Jimenez does something similar too i believe.

Would obviously limit his types of shots, but I am finding more uses for my PW and 52. Really leaning towards a 51°, 57° myself.

Don’t know what they’ll talk about or even if they talk, but I bet they have the longest average drive of any other grouping.

Probably. I just noticed today how much JB swings like Lee Trevino. Obviously a whole lot different. But the way he attacks the ball and the follow through look similar.

Dude is a good stick for sure. Glad to see him finding his groove again.

Eventually everyone will get golfer the slow play thing... already started with the “courses can’t contend with modern equipment” talk again.

One of 33, I must have done something right. Looking forward to finishing 33rd...

Fun fact, there's only 33/806 entries for #SpyStaffSlam that had all 5 players make the cut. That's 4%. They say golf is hard, THIS CONTEST is hard. If you didn't have all 5, you're still in the running but still definitely need the winner.
I could dig into it a little harder, but it looks like there's roughly the same amount of players that picked a perfect whiff, having all 5 guys miss the cut. Some of those names I recognize as previous prize winners of this contest. Pretty nuts.

Unfortunately, I've barely been able to watch the golf thus far but I'm looking forward to the weekend rounds.

Weather or not, Lowry’s swing is gorgeous this week, and he’s rolling that rock too.

That’s what we were talking about yesterday at work. The hole must have looked as large as a 5 gallon glop bucket.

It’s a great setup and keeps the same clubs in your hands more often.

I’ve played 51, 58/59 since 2003. My gap is in my hands for about 85% or all shots inside 100 yards.

The lob is for the sand and short sided shots. I have no need for a 54-56 as the sand where I play is firm so it doesn’t require a high bounce SW.

Carrying a PW, Gap and Lob also means more room for an extra iron or hybrid. I’ve always carried 13 clubs so it hasn’t necessarily helped me but the Tour Edge Hybrid might be changing that.

Looks like Bruce Koepka decided to make an appearance at Royal Portrush. Brooks is already on a plane back to Florida!
