bens197
As it says. I was playing with a friend recently who had an older set of clubs. Tried and true he plays a PING bag with a. TiSi Tec and i3’s. He shoots in the 80’s and is perfectly content with his gear. Just like the guy who drives a 20 year old car, change the grips and you’re good to go. So it brings me to my question, if there was one set you could purchase brand new, no matter the age. For me it would be a set of Mizuno Grad irons. I played my 962b’s at the same time and there wasn’t anything I loved looking at as much at that time. So let’s hear it...full bag or just a portion of it. CarlH
I don't think any of my older clubs are as good as what I'm using today, so I don't think I'd want to go back and buy any of them again. For me the question is more why I waited so long to upgrade. For nostalgia sure, but I'm guessing most would find playing vintage clubs to be a disadvantage. That said, if I had the game to match them, it would probably be a set of Hogan Apex II... the ones with his cameo on the back. One of my Dad's regular golfing partners played those and I always thought they looked cool. sirchunksalot, JohnSmalls, PING Apologist #9 and 2 others 4 1 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Currently Under Product Test)

deejaid
Here’s my two. I know I already said Grads but I forgot to mention Ram FX Tour Grinds. Ram Tour Grinds are awesome sticks. I really liked the Ram Pro Set which was a combo set. There is a NOS on eBay for $250 bucks but it’s got the regular flex shaft.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk bens197 1 Quote WITB: Stan Thompson “Reactionizer” persimmon woods 1-4 Spalding Tour Edition 3-PW Spalding Top-Flite E.V.A. bens197
This was a great driver, I had it with FUJI 757, probably the club that has had longest tenure in my bag. When it launched I was working in the golf business and was on staff with TM. I got invited down to Carlsbad and was able to get fit at their facility. We were one of first people to hit on their range. They fit the driver first took our specs and went to building. We finished with remainder of fitting and got a tour of facility. As we walked out they handed us our drivers and we drove to play Torrey Pines South. Pretty good day! That’s awesome. This was about the same time they launched tmagconnection and let’s just say it was tempting... revkev
Driver: Tough one. Its obvious that today's drivers are far superior to older equipment. That being said, I would still buy and play the Taylor Made 360ti. I hit the crap out of this thing in the early 2000's. Fw: Easy one here. OG Tour Edge Exotics 3wd. Hands down the goat. Utility: Adams Idea Pro 2 & 3 Irons Irons: Mizzy MP14's. I have had 4 sets of these though the years. I miss them. Wedges: Cleveland 588 Putter: still looking for a good one... I loved those idea pro hybrids - but I was thinking back pre hybrid days. I could game them now with a weaker shaft NP.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60 Aldila R flex - 42.25 inches SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft Ping G410 7, 9 wood Alta 65 R flex Srixon ZX5 MK II 5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex India 52,56 (60 pending) UST recoil 75's R flex Evon roll ER 5 32 inches It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD
